[ENG-SPA] My Little Meow Kitten / Mi Gatita Miaucita
Hello dear friends of #Hive, I hope you have a great week. Today I come to introduce you to my furry and unconditional friend Miaucita (My cat). Miaucita came home 3 years ago, in the month of October. Three cats used to come home to look for mice, which are very common in the area. With time we got fond of them and we would leave them food from time to time. They would usually come to eat, we would see them from a distance and they would leave. It wasn't as close a relationship as pet to person, but we were fond of them. There was a black cat, a gray cat and a black and white cat. The latter eventually gave birth to a black kitten on my house lot, but because of their feral nature they would run away from us. She could be seen feeding her baby, playing with her and walking together. Little by little they stopped frequenting the house, until one time that black and white cat went to prowl the areas near my house as it was common for her to do. That time Esmeralda, which we affectionately called that way, disappeared. Leaving in our huge lot a little black baby cat of barely 1 month or a little more of being born.
Hola queridos amigos de #Hive, espero tengan una excelente semana. Hoy vengo a presentarles a mi amiga peluda e incondicional Miaucita (Mi gata). Miaucita llegó a casa hace 3 años, en el mes de octubre. A casa solían llegar 3 gatas a buscar ratones que son muy comunes por la zona. Con el tiempo les fuimos agarrando cariño y les íbamos dejando comida de vez en cuando. Ellas normalmente venían comer, nos veíamos a la distancia y se iban. No era una relación tan estrecha como de mascota a persona, pero les teníamos aprecio. Había una gata negra, una gris y una blanca con negro. Esta última con el tiempo dio a luz a una gatita negra en el solar de mi casa, pero por su naturaleza salvaje huían de nosotros. Se le podia ver alimentar a su bebé, jugar con ella y andar juntas. Poco a poco dejaron de frecuentar la casa, hasta que una vez aquella gata blanca con negro se fue a merodear las zonas cercanas a mi casa como era común que lo hiciera. Esa vez Esmeralda, la cual cariñosamente llamamos de esa manera desapareció. Dejando en nuestro enorme solar a una pequeña bebé gata negra de apenas 1 mes o un poco más de nacida.
That kitten was afraid of us and lived under the cans and junk in the lot, waiting for her mother to come back one day. We took the responsibility of giving her food, but although she ate when she was left alone when we went to see her, she hid again. One day I noticed that she was meowing more than usual and I went out to see what was going on, because she was stuck between the neighbor's wall and the wall of our lot. My brother and I decided to adopt her permanently and went to her rescue. We managed to get her out from between the walls and my brother named her Miaucita without thinking about it.
Aquella gatita nos tenía miedo y vivía debajo de las latas y chatarra que había en el solar, esperando que su madre algún día volviera. Tomamos la responsabilidad de darle comida, pero aunque comía cuando se quedaba sola al volver a ir a verla se ocultaba nuevamente. Un día noté que maullaba más de lo normal y salí a ver que sucedía, pues se quedó atrapada entre la pared del vecino y la de nuestro solar. Mi hermano y yo decidimos adoptarla en definitivo y fuimos en su rescate. Logramos sacarla de entre las paredes y mi hermano sin pensarlo la bautizó como Miaucita.
Miaucita came home a little malnourished, because the absence of her mother and the lack of milk had affected her, she had scabies in one ear and she was afraid of us. We brought her home and with time, love and care Miaucita grew as one of us. I managed to cure her with my little knowledge I had about the problem of mange in her ear and part of her face. With methylene blue, sulfur soap and deworming with pumpkin seeds. Today our Miaucita is a happy kitty. And although she doesn't know how to climb like a normal cat, she enjoys a loving family, food, water and care.
Miaucita llego a casa un poco desnutrida, pues la ausencia de su madre y la falta de leche le habían afectado, tenía sarna en una oreja y miedo de nosotros. La trajimos a casa y con el tiempo, amor y cuidados Miaucita fue creciendo como una más entre nosotros. Yo logré curarla con mis pocos conocimientos que tenía sobre el problema de la sarna en su oreja y parte de su rostro. Con Azul de metileno, jabón de azufre y la desparasitaba con semillas de auyama. Hoy en día nuestra Miaucita es una gatita feliz. Y aunque no sepa o tema trepar como un gato normal, goza de una familia que la quiere, comida, agua y cuidados.
Miaucita in July of last year 2022, gave birth to 3 beautiful kittens. 2 males and 1 female which we nicknamed Silvestre, Faraón and Luna. Unfortunately these last 2 are no longer with us today. Because nature and destiny wanted it that way, but both Miaucita and Silvestre are today a fundamental part of my family and have helped us a lot with the rodent problem.
Miaucita en julio del pasado año 2022, dio a luz 3 hermosos gatitos. 2 machos y 1 hembra a los cuales apodamos Silvestre, Faraón y Luna. Por desgracia estos 2 últimos hoy en día ya no están con nosotros. Debido a que la naturaleza y el destino lo quisieron de esa forma, pero tanto Miaucita como Silvestre hoy constituyen una parte fundamental de mi familia y de igualforma nos han ayudado mucho con el problema de los roedores.
