Yesterday's Entrants

  1. @sindetalles shared a great post by @alekst7 the #faotd comment entry was a nice article about hypersensitivity and why we should not see this as a weakness, a difficult topic to write about for most, but one that is needed for balance in Today's macho society, I find people that are hypersensitive to be very creative in many ways and it is a credit to the author, I would suggest if you haven't already read this article that you should drop by and leave your thoughts it is called Hypersensitivity is not weakness

  2. @merit.ahama shared an article by @mmykel that delved into the good and bad days writers and content creators have and explained how he used the creative days to prepare more articles for the days when he was less creative, this was a really enjoyable read and I would suggest it to anyone that may suffer writers block or just periods of feeling to tired or less creative, it has a really positive outlook and would provide motivation to improve your down time, by utilizing the work created on the good days this article When Inspired He used the term Making hay while the sun shines and that is a great way of putting it, we can all learn a little something from doing this.

  3. @samsmith1971 shared a wonderfully crafted short story by @diebitch which takes you on a journey into the imagination of the author. A story with a unique twist that is sure to catch even the most experienced reader off guard. This short story is a great example of the best creative writing techniques and how using them can draw in a audience and take them on a trip along the way into the mind of the author, if you aim to improve apon your writing skills this short story will definitely help to get those creative juices flowing, drop by and give Love at First Sight? a read.

  4. @plint shared an article written by @josediccus where he goes through the reason why we as humans we should be pragmatic and resourceful, a well thought out and thought provoking piece, something we can all learn from, do swing past and check out his work Being Pragmatic In Solving The Little Problems (An Economic Perspective)

My Favourite Article of the Day

My Favourite Article of the day was written by @dwinblood in this article he explains how it is best to acknowledge the good and sometimes unexpected responses from others and how the community here on Hive is much different to how it was on Steemit and how things were handled there, this shows the true nature of what he see's as positive differences he has witnessed here on hive, a very interesting read, something i can say I understand, although I never used steemit I have heard some crazy stories afterwhich I am grateful we now have Hive. His article When someone does something unanticipated it is worth saying something about it. Just shows we can all get along regardless if we agree or not on certain subjects. do drop by and give it a read, we could all do with more of this.

Wow I'm on the winners list once again, I'm honored and very happy. Congrats to @sindetalles @samsmith1971 and myself.

I didn't do much online today but the few posts I read were amazing especially one of them which I would tag as my favorite.

It's a post titled Through The Eyes Of A Curator written by a really good author I know on thus platform @nonsowrites
He finally opened up that he's a curator which I thought was open 😂 then he went on to talk about poor articles from writers who don't try their best to make good contents.

From the way he writes, you could easily tell he's working on himself while he's able to criticize other works just so the platform could be overloaded with quality only and not those spam looking posts. I learnt something from him today and I plan to keep doing it till whenever, learning never ends after all.

Thanks

My #faotd was a piece by @melbourneswest , Disability Awareness Support Fund Raiser, Christmas in July. It's not a complex technical piece of writing. It's a wonderfully human article based on @melbourneswest 's own experiences with community involvement and support in assisting those living with a disability in his community, and the sad state of underfunding from government. It touches on the charity running fundraisers, some important messages around the language of disability and the way in which he is raising his own children to appreciate diversity and learn the value of people, in spite of their own privilege. I love reading personal human pieces and hopefully you do too, and will stop by to read his post. #faotd #dcc

Yes a really nice heartfelt article, it is so sad to see these people are still not getting the help and support they need from the state, without wonderful initiatives and fundraisers probably nothing would be done.

Nothing saddens me more that seeing those living privileged lives looking down on those that suffer, we can all make this world that little bit brighter and sometimes a little time and compassion is all it takes, if you can do more great, but first getting a little perspective on the undervalued carers, the great and often difficult work they do and the amazing people they support is a good starting point.

Thank you Pal, I like to give the readers a summary of the articles so they can understand why I believe people have chosen them as their #faotd and hopefully help to drive readers to these great authors.

Exactly. And it shows some personal investment on your part too. You didn't just pick these articles out of the ether. You took care in their selection and presentation to the world. I feel like you made POB a better place using this method.

In this post you wrote :

Yesterday's Prizes ....

Who are the winners there ?

And for the future, I'm willing to reward the most active contributers to #dcc. The token is limited and we have an airdrop mode. That's why I'm distributing that much. For your contest I will reward directly 3 members who won, then I'll choose the most active ones who will contribute the most. As well that should be done in a post. I don't know how to find comments using #dcc. I wish I know how.

Ha Ha elricmoonslayer was from the day before. @samsmith1971 was third place, No worries I get confused myself with all the curation and writing I have been doing.

Each day I disclose the winners from the previous days contest.

I have started to number the contests to make it easier to keep track.

I am sure the winners will be delighted to recieve the #dcc coins, I know you had said the coins were limited thats why I never said anything about #dcc as prizes, but I am sure the winners will be happy they were included. Thanks for that. It is appreciated

Hi everyone, the article I really enjoyed today is this one on stop pleasing people and doing what you want by @sofs-su. I'm not a people pleaser myself, but I know many people that are and they need to read this! In the article it lists what motivations people have for people pleasing behavior and why that is often at a detriment to themselves. I like that she encourages people to stand up for themselves and realize their self-worth. #faotd #dcc

A great choice of Article, this is something many people have difficulty understanding, it takes dedication and can be very time consuming trying to please others, I understand the authors sentiments and totally grasp the importance of being yourself.

Those that like you for who you are will remain as staunch loyal friends because you are true to yourself, it is so difficult to please everyone all the time, however being authentic and true to yourself brings on a life of it's own and garners it's own rewards not to mention it takes considerably less time.

This is how I live my life each day on and offline, I am open and friendly, but also I will not take any unnecessary shit, if others have a difference of opinion that's perfectly fine and I do not hold that against them or hold a grudge.

Knowing and valuing your own individuality and self worth is under rated and can be the biggest contribution you make to your own personal growth Thank you for taking part again, I wish you the best of luck in the contest

Thank you! I think it's a really important lesson to learn to say no and not please other people! Great comment, Thanks!
