image.png

I am happy to Announce that Yesterday's Favourite Article of the Day Contest launch went off with a bag, 3 participants took part and their was some great engagement and a nice diverse collection of Articles shared and curated apon.

Before I disclose Yesterday's Winners and move on to the next chapter in this initiative, I would first like to acknowledge the great articles which they chose.

Yesterday's Entrants

  1. @elricmoonslayer was our very first every #faotd comment entry and really kicked the contest off with a very thought provoking piece written by @active-truth who wrote about how words and their meaning have been changed over time and by who called Words and Their Meanings. Who has the power to change them and why? This was a very well written article that explored why words and their meanings have been changed and who benefited from those changes. A really good read and if you haven't already I would suggest stopping by to check it out.

  2. @merit.ahama was our second comment entry who shared a great article written by @selfhelp4trolls about the health benefits of reducing your sugar intake called How Sugar May Have Destroyed My Life If you haven't had the sweet pleasure of reading this article I would suggest you drop by comment, engage and spread some not so sugary coatings.

  3. Our third #faotd comment entry was from @samsmith1971 who shared a great article written by @tonytrillions who devled into the deeper meaning of meditation and how it can be it equates to many things we do in live, the benefits of using meditation and mindfulness and how yhey can both be used as a force for good in healing your body and soul called Can't Meditate? If you have every been on the wrong end of a stressful day, this is the kind of calming article you would like to read, be sure to give it a look up you might be pleasantly surprised.

Sponsorship and Delegation

I would like to take this opportunity to announce that we are open to sponsorships from any community, brand or individual willing to sponsor daily or weekly contest so that we can bring greater prizes to the #faotd and more awareness to the great content produced in the #pob community on a daily basis.

You can also delegate #pob to my account jaxsonmurph for curating rewards if you would like to support this initiative, it is worth noting that delegators would receive curation rewards daily from my curation on these posts.

Yesterday's Winners

My Favourite Article of the Day

My Favourite Article of the day was written by @amr008 In the article he gives a complete breakdown and analysis of @leprechaun's votes over the course of the previous week, I have to confess I am a bit of a stickler for statisical posts and find them very interesting and often inspiring, you can check out his article at the following link called It's Saturday - vote analysis of @leprechaun

Today's Prizes

Because of the success of Yesterday's launch I have decided to slightly improve the POB Delegations and it is hoped that I may be able to continue improving them as the contest starts to take momentum .

Prizes may be subject to change each day and it is hoped that as engagement grows delegations of #pob will rise also. Additionally I am looking into how best to go about adding more value for winners and may soon start asking for your Bitcoin cash NFT wallet address.

  1. First place will receive a 6.5 #pob delegation + 1 Upvote from me

  2. Second place will receive 2.5 #pob delegation + 1 Upvote from me

  3. Third Place will receive a 1.25 #pob delegation + 1 Upvote from me

NOTE: It is worth noting that although winners will receive additional upvotes aswell as prizes, the percentage weight of these upvotes cannot be guaranteed as nobody can guarantee a 100% upvote, this was brought to my attention by @scholaris.pob

Possible Future Addition Prizes

I am also looking into giving the First place winner each day a Bitcoin Cash NFT, one of my many Prized Bitcoin cash NFTs that I currently hold in my https://www.juungle.net/ wallet. but at a later date once the contest starts to receive a valid amount of engagement.

Thanks Jaxson! Another nice surprise. In #faotd purely to promote others but really grateful to random.org for the lucky selection :-) and of course to you for doing your best always to find ways to support the community on both side of the writing divide: authors and curators. I agree that all three articles and their authors deserve the recognition and hopefully will garner more attention as a result of your contest.

That's the plan. I am hoping that the authors will get more views and better rewards from those that may have overlooked them and I will personally drop by give them an upvote and comment and share their work.

On top of that those taking part can earn rewords and prizes by sharing the amazing articles that are written in #pob community each day, it's a win win for everyone involved as well as those dropping in to curate, Congratulation on the win, it was well deserved

My #faotd is actually a short story choice by @diebitch called Love at First Sight? . It's a fabulously written short story using #inkwellprompt that takes the reader on an interesting journey around a city as the author entertains us in her successful efforts writing to the prompt: 'Two people keep seeing one another in different places around the city. What is their story?' I've read a few of @diebitch 's poems and short stories and she hasn't failed to deliver yet. I'm definitely a fan! And you may just become one too, if you take the time to stop by and peruse her writings. #faotd #dcc

🤭 I'm so happy to be one of the yesterday's winners, it's a really nice and fun thing to do and I love this initiative.

Today was awesome for me as I go through amazing posts but there is one I enjoyed reading from top to bottom so I'll tag it as my favorite article of the day.

It's a post titled When Inspired written by a great author @mmykel
He described how we sometimes let our work pile up and wish it didn't so we could rest. And he said something I have decided to try out. Making hay while the sun shines - Writing more contents when inspired and keep for when there won't be no inspiration to write. I find this strategy really unique and thoughtful even though it may send a message of hard work but it was done out of being lazy, it's funny but it isn't a bad thing to do.

Yes indeed this is a really good technique, I tend to use it occasionally when I have rather creative days, having something to fall back on during days of less creativity is a good plan to have and will definitely show consistancy and dedication to your work. A really inspiring and helpful article thanks for sharing.

Thanks for taking part and Congratulations as one of Yesterday winners, I am glad you are enjoying the initiative and find it fun, that is a good positive approach to have.

Hi @jaxsonmurph , glad you started the daily contest. Congratulations to the winners of the first edition. I will attach it to the update of my post about contests and initiatives in POB and of course I will participate ...😀

My favorite article of the day Hypersensitivity is not weakness, written by @alekst7. I like it because it gave me another focus about people who are hypersensitive and the suffering they go through. Unfortunately most of us see them or have seen them as people of little character and is that they are just more vulnerable to what is going on around them , but they have great strength to accept this and fight to stay healthy mentally and emotionally.
It is a great and educational read.

That article is a real gem, something I might otherwise have missed had you not shared it, the deep thought process and research shows a dedicated author not afraid to write in an honest manner, I really enjoyed it and see a real strength in hypersensitive people.

They are much easier to understand and make real meaningful connections with and that is a real strength.

Thank you for your participation and good luck in the competition, I really like the fact that you have gone to the extra trouble to translate so that others may also be included, unfortunately this is not a talent I yet possess, but I am grateful you have done it, Thank You

Great initiative indeed. I will bounce on it one of these days.

I saw my girl @ahama.merit. congratulations girl. I told you, you're hard working.

Congratulations to all the contestants who took out time to read and brought out the very best for our reading pleasure. I'm going back to read those articles ASAP.

Anything that gives credit to hard work gets my support. I will tag my favorite post later in the day.

Hi there! Nice to join this, I think this is a great initiative! My favorite that I read today was This Article on Pragmatism by @josediccus where he discusses why it is important that we are resourceful and pragmatic as humans and I thought his piece was well thought out and also thought provoking, which is why I come to POB. I wasn't familiar with the writer yet, so following them now to hopefully read more interesting articles to come! #faotd #dcc

Yes I agree with the thoughts in this article, it is very important to at least aim to get things right from the start, there will always need to be adjustments needed by getting the little things in line so the big things will fall into place, Thanks for join in and good luck in the contest
