Afri-tunes Week 35 / O ti se (cover) By @jessicaossom
I had to record this video before I finally got this particular one and that was because everyone in the house won’t just keep quiet and it is so frustrating.
“Keep it down guys, I am trying to record a video here”. ☹️ I had to say those words to them several times, but it yielded no result. My elder sister saw it as an opportunity to frustrate me even more because I refused to help with her 3speak newbies initiative task. Imagine, is it by force to answer questions when you don’t feel like it?
Anyway, while I pondered on what to present for this week’s Afri-tunes contest, I decided to sing ’O ti se by Lara George'.
In a few weeks from now, we would all be wishing ourselves compliments of the season and finally Happy New Year.
If you are alive today, you have every reason to be grateful to God because he has done it. With faith and by his grace, we know that as he has made us see this day, we will also be alive to see the new year in good health.
A lot of us sure had new year’s resolutions and if we want to look at it only from the surface, we would think that we have been unserious with our lives since the beginning of the year.
We must count our blessings and name them one by one. It would surprise us all that the Lord has done.
So the song in English means that what nobody could do, the lord has done for us. Think about the air you breathe in, think about the fact that you can wake up by yourself every morning, and think about the fact that you can eat, drink, and even use the restroom with ease.
Think about those unknown battles that were fought for you. Think about the grace of sustenance despite the economy. This is why I decided to sing this song. I hope that you enjoy listening to it.
