Who wants some Batchoy? Oh, Batchoy is one of my comfort food, a bowl of hot, feel-good, and nostalgia. One of the best original special La Paz Batchoy I’ve tasted was when I visited the La Paz market in Iloilo City. The Netong’s restaurant is one of the oldest that existed in the Batchoy scene since 1948. Whenever I order the special Batchoy, I always request without liver and I always ask for extra soup. Another thing that I love is to eat this together with Puto (sticky rice) it’s a perfect combination.
Obviously, Netong’s restaurant has grown from a small kiosk on the sidewalk now they have a branch at Atria Mall, and they have expanded their service to house deliveries as well. So if you get the chance to visit Iloilo City, don’t miss out on eating La Paz Batchoy, definitely, it’s delicious.
How about you, have you tried eating one? Do you like it?
