I think it's healthy for the leveraged longs to be liquidated and I do think it's because people want to hold more cash. After all they prefer not to catch a falling knife and they tend to wait till things are safe. Then again anyone who got hit with a margin call probably isn't having a great time either because they would have less funds available.

I think so too, not that it's going to stop apes from leveraging in but is a great way to remind people that trying to game short term profits can see you lose your shirt
