Rising Star Giveaway #38: R123 Carlito Rare Musician NFT (ends 1/15)

Here is my weekly status and giveaway. This week was quite horrible as the new year has started. I don't know if I was in Holiday season or if I am just tired from work to maintain the missions going well. The winter seasonal mission has also ended and I don't think I have enough cards to have both blended cards but I do think I can blend one.

This week I wanted to give out a musician and I collected quite a few of these trying to get the Christmas seasonal cards.

The giveaway item is R123 Carlito and it has 150 fans, 100 skill, 4 luck and 3 income modifier. All musicians help quite a bit and it will definitely help the people starting unlock more missions.

Current Status

My previous week was fairly bad and I don't think I was able to earn more than 150k or so starbits. In a way, I drew a bit on my starbits balance to buy some packs before the Christmas seasonal mission finished. However we go back to just doing standard missions this week so I should be able to focus more on getting starbits. I believe the next seasonal mission won't be happening until Valentine's day.

Out of my 24 packs I opened, the only notable card I got was this Epic card. I didn't have any luck getting extra seasonal musicians and I was nowhere close to getting 10 to blend. So I plan on just leaving that alone and maybe I will have better luck next time.

I didn't get enough lappy cards but I did get enough Mics. So I plan on blending them later this week to get the unique card. The game was down for parts of the day and I also was busy throughout last week so I wasn't able to complete as many of these missions as I would like.

In the end, I decided to buy 2 more Happy Lappy cards and I plan on blending them so I can show you them next week. I also bought the no face bass I was missing so I can blend them together as well.

Current Goals

My rank is down from last week and my minutes played is definitely suffering. The gap has closed in between me and the rest of the players so I can't afford to slack off so much this week.

I am hoping the 3 new blended cards and the my pack opening this week will make up for it. I do plan on getting back my starbits from my weekly earnings for the instruments as well later.

Tips (source)

I think the tips are something every new player should know about. It will help people progress in the game and it hasn't really been shared since surya1adiga stopped his giveaways.

1. Take music lessons when possible to raise skill and reduce ego.
2. Having lesson specific instruments helps in receiving more skill from that lesson.
3. Have pizza box to store any pizza received during mission to reuse later.
4. Buy cold pizza slice if possible. This gives 1 refill every 24hours. Comes very handy when you are low on energy.
5. If you have enough of cold pizza slice and pizza box, you will never run out of energy.
6. If you have more fans than skill and you want reduce the ego , you can use a storage trailer to store unnecessary cards. Or you can list the card in market for an unreasonably high price.
7. Ego received for a particular mission increases every time you play it. The ego is reset to base level the next day. So, try to play different missions to control the ego gained.
8. Keep track of your achievements to unlock in game rewards
9. Buy storage trailer (only if necessary) to keep the cards that might have a negative effect. Like a card with high fan count resulting in ego.
10. When earning skill points through music lessons, you can earn more points per lesson if you hold more of specific instrument cards. There seems to be base skill which is rewarded irrespective of the card count and then the skill increases depending on the number of the lesson specific card one has.
11. Try taking up many smaller missions to fill up pizza boxes and have extra energy to play more rewarding missions. But you need to have pizza boxes for this to work.
