I opened twitter this morning and I came upon a tweet by @nonsowrites, stating that we should share our crypto experience to be among the 4 lucky winners of 50hive.

I came to know about crypto through steemit which was introduced to me by a friend, this same friend has always been with me through my crypto journey. As of that time, I didn't know if anything like discord existed but I only made posts, engage and cash out. It was really a difficult period then in steem, the support was not encouraging as a newbie but I still continued.

I intentionally stopped posting on steemit years ago because I ran out of ideas to post about and I didn't want a high reputation with a low income, I wanted to balance the equation, so I gave it a break. The break turned out to be a long one that made me forget about the platform and I concentrated on my studies then.

Last year, While discussing with my friend who introduced me to steemit, He made me understand that steemit isn't as it used be that there have been a breakout, which is now the new hive. This works for me because I needed a new start, I wasn't into blogging then, I needed a new source of income. He offered to teach me how to trade with future on binance, I had a good and bad experience trading with futures. I know we can't always win, there will be some loosing time and some winning time.

The coin I love trading then was compound coin, not sure why but I guess it's because that's what I learnt with. I started with $50 and was advised not to go all in because of the volatility of the market, little by little, I was having profit. Through my period of future trading, I had this mindset that whenever the market goes up, it will always come down. This I understood from studying the market charts.

That particular day wasn't a good one for me, I knew quite well that there would be a turn over of the market but I didn't have enough backup usdt to backup my position. I had to make a choice, either I loose all I had or I retain only my capital. I reached out to my friend but he was in a bigger lose than I was in, in other not to be liquidated, I stopped the loss and closed my order. All through those period, I was in and out of hive. I wasn't ready to take another blow, I decided to invest the little I had in LEO and hive. I only regretted not putting much in LEO, once in a while, I do a little spot trading. Since being on hive, I have gotten addicted to it and I have decided to grow with it.

This is my crypto experience, what is yours?. Thanks for reading.

You've had lot of experience both in the trading and blogging aspect. I was told earning on steemit was more difficult than that of hive, I can only imagine that but for you to have stayed this long signifies some kind of strength. It's good to know you've decided to grow on hive, wishing you Good luck in the contest.

Well trading is something I have never ventured into. I probably might in the future. However, I feel the oath of a hodler is more stable. One finds an undervalued project, invest and wait for the project to grow. Although I have fumbled a couple of bag in the past, I haven't experience any loss.

Well, thank you for participating. Cheers!
