ASK LEO/HIVE: Looking for a graphic designer, and other questions...
Hey LEO Family. My wife and I are setting up a new online business. It will be an alternative clothing retailer, specializing in Punk, Goth Pagan and other alternative styles of cloths and accessories.
1. We need a designer.
We have come up with a business name, but are in need of some quality assistance in the graphic design area for our logo, banners for socials and so on.
Willing to pay in crypto or fiat for the right person.
I know @krunkypuram and @mariosfame did some work in this area, interested to see who's around in the Leo community that might like a little one off gig work. We have some ideas for the style and theme, just need someone to bring it all together into a nice, slick package of "Brand Assets" for our business.
2. Does anyone here have experience with Shopify?
Building the website is my side of this business, and is something I have not done before. I like to think I'm a quick learner, but using a platform like Shopify or perhaps Wordpress is more appealing to me as it seems like something I can learn and get used to as I go.
- Have Leo people built an online business on one of these platforms?
- Do you have any hints or tips for someone starting out without much prior experience?
- What platforms would you recommend?
3. How would I incorporate HIVE/Crypto payments easily?
- What is the best way to set up to accept crypto at the point of sale on a shop site?
- Is HIVE pay a thing? Do people use it? Tagging #ctp tribe on this post, as I think they set it up - @jongolson? Sorry I haven't done my research, could be totally wrong.
- Does anyone here have experience with incorporating crypto payments into a regular fiat business? What would you recommend?
4. Set up a tribe?
Do you think there would be any interest in a tribe, built around a goth, punk, pagan, alternative lifestyle? I'm thinking of a tribe, and using the tribe token as a reward, but also as "loyalty points" that can be redeemed/spent in the store. I don't know how I would incorporate that, it's possibly something for down the road a bit when the business booms and we bring in a web dev, or IT guy to replace my lack of knowledge.
Do you think it would be a good idea to blend an online business with a tribe like that? I'm not sure.
Also, is there currently any tribes that would fall in this sort of category? I've been pretty focused on LEO for a while, something in this genre may already exist and I have just missed it. If not, do you think it is a niche worth exploring?

Hive Pay is very much a thing :) It’s as easy and copy and paste to place hive pay buttons on your site. Plus we’ve got a massive update coming this weekend for it. Added features :)
Awesome. I'll definitely add it as a payment option once we get up and running.

@ykretz might be able to help with the design part.
About the tribe, I don't know if there is currently any that fits your description so maybe it's something you can do in the future.
Once the business gets big enough and has a loyal fanbase, I'm sure they would love to have something like that!

Hey JK, sorry not got back to you on this. I hope you may have found someone by now. I'm not sure I'd be the right kinda guy for this anyway but if you're still stuck after a point and wish to get on with it, we can have a chat and see where we go.
