After the path of the horses we find the ¨Isoptera¨ (Es-Eng)

How are nature lovers and loyal followers of this beautiful community ¨Inspired by Nature Community¨:  These are the things I love about ¨Hive¨, the huge number of communities and spaces available to post, having a community for the topic we want to talk about is the best that can happen to us, since you are sharing in a space where people have your same tastes and interests. Yesterday while visiting my friend @soulsdetour's post ¨In fear of winter ¨:  I learned about the existence of this great community, a place where nature lovers can express and share our emotions by living close to a natural environment

Although I have always been passionate about nature, I must admit that in the last two years (times of the "pandemic") I have gotten closer to nature, surely many of you It has happened to them and they found in the natural environment the support that was needed to deal with the situation we were experiencing. I live in a city where there is a lot of natural space, and I am lucky enough to live near a large property, a place where I spend several days a week. We took these beautiful photographs with my wife in one of our last walks that we did in the place, as you can see in the cover photo we love horses, they are very intelligent animals, when they are there, we took the opportunity to take some pictures of them, while we approached To them, we found something that I had not seen for a long time, and to be honest, it has brought back pleasant memories of my childhood, it is a nest of ¨termites¨ :

My wife did not know the nests of these insects, so she confused them with an ant nest, for me she was very familiar, since where I grew up it was very common to see them. In our home we had a chicken coop, and the chickens loved to dig in their nests, and those that were distracted were their lunch. Always admire these insects for the way they build their nests, and the harmonious way they work together, another thing we must learn from nature. I know that in other parts of the world it is known by other names, so I am going to mention the scientific name ¨Isoptera¨ :   so that we are all talking about the same insect

This type of insect stands out for being skilled builders, it could be said that they are the architects of natural life, they are capable of building their nests in different ways, since they have seen underground, aerial nests on the branches of trees, or like these that you see built at ground level, if this seems amazing to you, let me show you some images of what the inside of their nests look like

I have to admit that I was also amazed the first time I saw inside these nests, they look like real roads that allow them to circulate better inside the construction, you have to have a sense of direction to wander inside, or perhaps these beautiful insects come with built-in GPS. It is because of this type of thing that I am passionate about natural life. I am happy to have seen the horses, if we did not go after them we would not have found these insects. This was another beautiful hike and glad we had our ¨nikoncoolpixb500¨ camera with us to take the shots

To tell you the truth, dear @jlufer , I also don't think I've ever seen live termites and their nests. Although, for some time now I have noticed a strange structure on the wall of the wood storage shed. It's built of mud-earth, but as it's closed and I can't see what's inside, and it's up high, I rather ignore it. But now I'm thinking it might be termites 🤔 (after reading your post).
Thank you very much for your wonderful publication! You are absolutely right that nature was needed to deal with the situation of the last two years. I am an absolute example of that too. And the creation of this community is the result of this fact.
Hey, you are the first to dare to post in this community! 🥳🎖️🏆
Have an awesome weekend! 😊

Hello dear friend @soulsdetour good day

What a joy to be the first to publish in the community, as you know with a nature lover and I'm sure you'll see it often

It is true, it is not very common to see termites and much less their nests, in the city it is more feasible to see them among the woods.
It is possible that what you have in your home is a wasp nest, and I hope it is that, if it is termites, you have to be careful, since they feed on the wood of the ceilings.

Thank you very much for this pleasant visit and support for my post

enjoy the weekend
