Hoy la nueva generación tiene puesto la vista en nuevos formatos de construcciones; Aquí está de moda los barrios privados construidos fuera de la zona urbana de la ciudad, eso hace que las viejas construcciones que están fuera del ¨casco¨¨histórico¨ y no están protegidos como ¨monumentos¨¨históricos¨ tengan oportunidad de mantenerse en pie

Our city is going through an exciting time for people my age; We are the generation that is in force in making decisions about structural changes in the city; Ranging from owners, merchants, politicians, and engineers; Having grown up in the city brings us fond memories, and that emotion is what keeps the old buildings alive and in force. Today the new generation has its sights set on new building formats; Here, the gated communities built outside the urban area of the city are in fashion, this means that the old constructions that are outside the ¨historic hull¨ and are not protected as ¨historical monuments¨ have the opportunity to remain standing.
Es muy difícil que una construcción histórica se mantenga vigente si no hay emociones entre el propietario y la edificación; Como podemos observar en este viejo castillo que lo han mantenido en el tiempo, y nos presta un servicio como una casa de evento ¨comercial¨; Les puedo asegurar que de tratarse de un dueño de la nueva generación, sin dudas esta vieja edificación hubiera pasado por una reforma parcial, general, o en el peor de los casos, derrumbarlo y volver a construir un nuevo edificio en su lugar. Es emocionante y hermoso a la vez, ver a esta vieja construcción en el estado en que se encuentra, y que su delicada construcción haya perdurado en el paso del tiempo; Molduras y los detalles de épocas, ya no se ven en las nuevas construcciones

Crecí en un hogar de arquitectos, mis primos mayores tenían su estudio en casa de mis abuelos, era común pasar el día entre charlas de construcciones y enormes planos; Al ser el más pequeño de la familia siempre me llevaban a las obras. Conocí esta propiedad siendo un niño, jamás hubiera imaginado que en un futuro pasaría varios años de mi vida en su interior; En esa época se veía muy diferente, se restauró para que pudiera funcionar un ¨instituto¨ ¨educativo¨, allí realice mi formación académica, y cada vez que concurría a la escuela era difícil no recordar cómo era esta propiedad muchos años antes.

I grew up in a home of architects, my older cousins had their studio in my grandparents' house, it was common to spend the day between talks about construction and huge plans; Being the youngest of the family they always took me to the construction sites. I knew this property as a child, I would never have imagined that in the future I would spend several years of my life inside it; At that time it looked very different, it was restored so that an ¨educative¨ institute could function, there I did my academic training, and every time I went to school it was difficult not to remember what this property was like many years before.

I'm definitely with you about what you said here @jlufer. This rings true since man started constructing buildings a long time ago. In fact, if historical buildings don't convey positive emotions for people, then what's the use of designing them in the first place?
