For ¨FungiFriday¨ we find three beautiful and small varieties of mushrooms (Es-Eng)

How are the friends of this Cool ¨FungiFridayCommunity¨:  here accompanying my friend @ewkaw in this wonderful ¨FungiFridayContest :  a different initiative from other contests, since here in addition to participating, you have the opportunity to learn from other hivian friends the knowledge they have about mushrooms, and this is what makes every week you are participating. If you are passionate about photography you have to join this challenge

When it comes to looking for mushrooms for the weekly challenge I always go to the huge farm that is close to home, this beautiful reserve has always surprised me with beautiful varieties of mushrooms, and this time it will not be The exeption. When you arrive at the property, the first thing you see is a large welcome sign, and some tree trunks that are for decoration, but in reality they have many more functions than that; these branches in a state of decomposition is the ideal place for the development of fungi, as you can see we have found a small variety of fungus known as ¨Neolentinus¨ ¨lepideus¨:

due to the small size of the mushroom, if I didn't know it, it would have been almost impossible to identify it, I did it thanks to its shape and the small brown dots typical of them. This other variety puzzled me, and I had to resort to ¨Google¨ ¨lens¨:  the tool identified it as ¨Oudemansiella¨ ¨mucida¨:  but I think which is a misidentification, I prefer one of the varieties of ¨Amanita¨ :  I know that due to their size and from the photographs it is not easy to identify them, but it is a species that I have already found on the property before, what do you think of this?

This other variety of fungi is known throughout much of the world, its scientific name is ¨Psilocybe¨ ¨semilanceata¨:  here they are known for the effect they cause in people who consume it thinking that it is edible, although they may not believe it, this small fungus is very toxic, the effect it causes in people is ¨hallucination¨- These mushrooms are so small that to photograph them I had to zoom in, and I didn't get a good focus, but I think the images are useful so you can see what kind we are talking about fungus

We had a lot of fun with our ¨nikoncoolpixb500¨ camera taking pictures of these beautiful little mushrooms, unlike other weeks that we have searched for mushrooms, they were at the entrance of the property, which made we didn't have to walk far to find them, hopefully every week we find mushrooms that easy. This is my humble contribution to this week's challenge

Since I played The Last of Us a few years ago, mushrooms seemed quite interesting to me, then with the adaptation they made for the HBO series, that interest reappeared.

What a beautiful mushroom walk, @jlufer! How fortunate that you live so close to a botanical garden! While can't speak on the other species that you photographed, I can mention a few pertinent things about the Psilocybe species. No Psilocybe are toxic. They are all quite edible, but several species do have a strong entheogenic effect, which if utilized correctly can be very healing on multiple levels. One very interesting thing to note about that genus of mushrooms is that they are only found growing in association with humans. They may be found on the edge of deep wild areas, but only where there is human activity. They seem to exist in an ancient symbiotic relationship with humans. It's a deeply fascinating group! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
