Estoy participando de este desafío hace ya varios meses, al iniciar, mis conocimientos eran totalmente nulo, hoy, y gracias al concurso, pude identificar a este hongo sin la ayuda de ¨Google¨¨Lems¨:  se trata de un hongo llamado ¨orejas¨ de ¨Judas¨: este tipo de hongos es bastante común aquí en mi ciudad, aunque hace varios meses no lo veía, quizás fue por la reciente lluvia, como saben, necesitan de la humedad para crecer

I have been participating in this challenge for several months now, when I started, my knowledge was completely null, today, and thanks to the contest, I was able to identify this fungus without the help of ¨Google¨¨Lems¨:  it is a fungus called ¨ears¨ of ¨Judas¨: this type of fungus is quite common here in my city, although several years ago I haven't seen it for months, maybe it was because of the recent rain, as you know, they need moisture to grow

Hoy fue un gran día para buscar hongos, las últimas lluvias que hemos tenido ha favorecido mucho al crecimiento de estos hongos (¨Auricularia¨¨auricula-judae¨):  que hizo que lo pudiéramos ver en tres lugares diferentes del gran predio. Los primeros hongos los hallamos sobre un tronco de árbol en estado de descomposición, el otro grupo de fotografías las hallamos sobre una rama caída desde un árbol, esta segunda tanda fue más difícil de fotografías, ya que estaban tapadas por algunas hojas de una planta, por suerte lo pudimos descubrir para enseñárselos a ustedes

Today was a great day to look for mushrooms, the last rains we have had have greatly favored the growth of these mushrooms (¨Auricularia¨¨auricula-judae¨):  that allowed us to see it in three different places of the large estate. We found the first mushrooms on a tree trunk in a state of decomposition, the other group of photographs we found on a branch fallen from a tree, this second batch of photographs was more difficult, since they were covered by some leaves of a plant, luckily we were able to discover it to show you

El hallazgo del tercer grupo fue muy llamativo, ya que los encontramos sobre las ramas del árbol de ¨Ceibo¨:  algo poco común ver a estos hongos crecer en ramas vivas, pero como siempre digo, la naturaleza es realmente increíble y nos sorprende a cada momento. Estos hongos estaban en un sector del predio bastante retirado, con mi nieta Abigail explorábamos en lugar y al ver hacia arriba, nos sorprendimos con su presencia

The finding of the third group was very striking, since we found them on the branches of the ¨Ceibo¨:  something unusual to see these mushrooms grow on living branches, but as I always say, nature is truly incredible and surprises us at every moment. Estoy muy feliz de haber encontrado este desafío ¨FungiFriday¨:  he aprendido mucho sobre los hongos. Ahora que tengo más conocimientos y estoy más seguro en la identificación me animaría a probar hongos silvestres. Estos hongos que encontramos sobre las ramas del árbol se ven más frescos, debo de admitir que me vi tentado en llevarlos a casa para preparar una exquisita receta con ellos. En esta oportunidad solo me limite hacer las fotografías con nuestra cámara ¨nikoncoolpixb500¨ y la próxima vez que vuelva a encontrar este tipo de hongos estaré más convencido de probar por primera vez hongos silvestres

I'm so happy I found this challenge ¨FungiFriday¨:  I have learned a lot about mushrooms. Now that I have more knowledge and I am more confident in the identification, I would encourage myself to try wild mushrooms. These mushrooms that we found on the branches of the tree look fresher, I must admit that I was tempted to take them home to prepare an exquisite recipe with them. This time I only limited myself to taking the photographs with our ¨nikoncoolpixb500¨ camera and the next time I find this type of mushroom again I will be more convinced to try wild mushrooms for the first time
