RE: Time or Money?

Working online a bit of a problem over here, have not had electricity once again for last 3 hours. (Major repairs being done in our flood ravaged region, all businesses are battling big and small!)

Finding yourself in a first world country one really could make a decent living with what is available now.

Major difference I found is, when we were young a three week holiday annually was planned every year, with possible short break on occasional long weekend. Trains for transport, self catering accommodation affordable to most.

Our generation started breaking into one or two week breaks, not always going away which normally reduces that quality time together.

Hopefully future generations realize those 3 week breaks are what a person needs, a total switch-off.

That's crazy! I think our family would be at each others throats after three weeks together! Things get tense after just one week sometimes! I often forget how blessed I am. Many of the everyday issues people around the world have are not present here. I need to keep that at the front of my mind more often.

Nah my brothers and sister enjoyed our breaks from home far too much to argue, no TV back then, not even a radio, definitely no phones 😂. Learned to fish, swim, enjoyed being!
