Most of us have our dad treating money the yours did, my pops was no exception it probably took 1 out 50 to be financial smart back in those days when education was limited to the traditional schooling unlike today where we self-educate through the internet.
Though we still have some today that are enslaved to sticking to the education acquired from school alone.
Let's not forget we were not taught about money in school or how to invest.
We owe it to ourselves to self educate, sadly my pops is no more I would have get him on Hive.

With my dad, we were totally limited in so many aspects and this is because of the reasons you've totally mentioned here, financial education is bigger than any formal education and due to the internet now, it becomes easier to self-educate and even put your knowledge into play to earn or different productive use.
