Write For You, Write On Hive

It was passed 02:00, the early hours of 22nd February 2023, a sleepless night with an uneasy mind, and six days before departing SA. The night was silent and with load shedding, you could hear the clock on the wall, at some point, I thought of the “Silent Night” Christmas carol perhaps if an angelic voice had sung it to me I would have fallen asleep again but my mind raced as I long for the dawn.

The silence of the night was gone with electricity restored at 04:00. I like my 7-8 hours of sleep but I failed to get it this time, probably it is the whole traveling thing and my phone acting up and consequently being without internet. I just couldn’t pin down why such a sleepless night.

Write Down My Thoughts

I gave up the fight for sleep and with the dawn, I longed for just minutes away, I decided to listen to Les Brown for some motivation. Les Brown is my favorite motivational speaker, he has a way of impacting me positively. With some motivation, I got out of bed and it was time to write.

I had no idea what to write but was determined to write for myself.
As content creators, we go through those blank moments not knowing what to write and having no clue about the next topic but what keeps us going is the love for writing, even on the days when we don’t fill like it, coming up with something to write about is the winning factor within us.
And it begins with writing for ourselves, liking what we write about, coming back to read our content years from today, and smiling at how we have grown. That is the joy of writing.

Earlier in the year I dug out my genesis post on Hive and I was surprised and impressed with myself that I understood and prioritized decentralization in 2017, for me that was a reason why I am still hooked on the crypto space, I had a connection with cryptocurrency and blockchain technology from the onset and I had no reason to exit the crypto rabbit hole.
I enjoy writing for me.

Write On Hive

I always consider myself fortunate to have found Hive, there’s no platform where I have felt more at being myself and not judged like on Hive. Being on Hive builds your confidence to put your thoughts out there on a global scale as a content creator and you just get better at it over time.

I don’t have to worry about waking up one day and being unable to access my content, I own the access keys to my content and that gives me control over my account.

Aside from the ownership benefits of writing on Hive, the rewards are too good not to tap into the Hive ecosystem. The rewards are not going to buy you a house or a fast car in a month or year but allowing the compounding power of Hive to do its thing on your earnings can be rewarding in ways never imagined.

There are platforms out there that require you to pay before tapping into the system for the benefits it offers, it is a different case with Hive, just get yourself a device, tap onto Hive, and write something you and Hive. It is a habit I have enjoyed over the years and on a night like this when I can’t sleep, Hive was awake providing me the platform to write whatever it is on my mind.
