What is the algorithm used to reach consensus on Hive blockchain?

I know this much that Consensus Algorithms are used by blockchains, so if I had to guess which one Hive uses I would have to say "The longest Chain Rule"
I am probably wrong it might not even be the name for the algorithm but just a general first rule to its writing.
