I Wish Hive Resource Credits Could Be Used to MINT NFTs

HIVE RESOURCE CREDITS

The Hive resource credits system is probably one of the coolest things about Hive as it allows for free transactions if one has enough Hive Power powered up. It also allows for the claiming of account creation tokens if one has enough resource credits saved up to do it. However, is there a way to go beyond just claiming free account creation tokens?

COULD NFTS BE CREATED FROM RESOURCE CREDITS IN THE FUTURE INSTEAD OF JUST ACCOUNT CREATION TOKENS?

Obviously I'm not a progammer so I don't know if this is possible but maybe instead of claiming account creation tokens, the resource credits could be used to claim a random progammatic art NFT (sort of like Hivepunks but obviously something different)? If something like this were possible I would probably power up more Hive just so I would be able to claim a "free" NFT from my resource credits every now and then. I don't really need free account creation tokens but a tradeable NFT sort of like Hivepunks would be something I would find desirable.

ANOTHER PERK FOR HAVING HIVE POWERED UP?

I know that people with lots of Hive powered up are claiming free account creation tokens but that's not really much of an incentive for me to power up more Hive. However, if I get to claim a free NFT every now and then from my resource credits, then I would have a reason to start powering up more Hive. Anyways, its just an idea of mine. Like I said, I'm not a programmer so I don't even know if it's possible. Maybe it's a stupid idea. I don't know. Just an idea.

While it is possible, I don't think this will be very likely. After all there are already different ways to mint NFTs with a cost. I guess it's more likely to be something discussed farther down the line. I think most of the NFTs are kind of being done on Hive Engine right now too.

hey @johnhtims ...me again 🤣 how are things going? Thought I'd come say hi and see what you are up to. I just popped my 2nd post up on Thursday. A short story...woo hoo! Blockchain generated NFT's available with resource credits...interesting idea. So actually using the resource credits as buying power? Sadly not a programmer either haha ...but we can dream, right? 🙌Anyway, feel free to drop me a tag when you next post and I'll come by again.
