Of Coffees, Cakes, Pastas, Accidental Matchy-Matchy Rainbow Socks: A Bestie's Date🌈☕🍰🍝

What a blessing it is to spend a day with your loved one! Isn't it always the case?🥰 We brim with this unexplainable joy when our hearts are full.🥺

I do not get to see as much of my bestie Haj, or as he'd like to be called RJ, these days because he lives (and works) far from me. During our university days he used to live here in the city in an apartment (aka boarding house) so we used to have so much time together every so often.

That is why for me I find it precious when I get to spend quality time with him when he comes here in the city (also known as when he does shopping haha). I would know when he comes by here because he sends me a message and in a heartbeat I would say yes.✨

Earlier today during our coffee-time he shared his struggles with his work - how it has consumed him, not just physically but mentally! He feels like it is draining so much energy from him and it has left him restless and fatigued. I listened to his tales - with lots of opportunities to laugh in between because he's good at this joke business too by the way haha - with gusto, not because I had to but because I wanted to; he is my best friend and I want to know what is happening with his life, how he is doing, and how I can possibly try to cheer him on.

I would like to believe that today had been a good deal of stress reliever for him and that Haj was happy he was able to let out his emotions and his sentiments, and I hope he went home feeling encouraged.

Well I look forward to his next visit in the city and to our coffee-chat session soon!❤️
