A Day Trip To Calgary, Alberta

Over the past 4 months, my mom has been visiting and staying with us here in Alberta. And even though we live closer to Edmonton, her flight back home was booked to leave Calgary.

Which is about 250 kms from where we live and seeing that I love to drive...We had a fun day in Calgary just before she boarded the plane.

I'll go over each photo from top to bottom :P

• The skyline of the city is very impressive. I do like Edmonton's more but I'm very biased lol

• The Bow and Elbow rivers flow through the city, and when it's spring and summer, downtown comes alive around the rivers.

• Sadly, Calgary is home to the NHL's Flames. Arch rivals of my beloved Edmonton Oilers lol This is the Saddledome. It's where they play...And where the Oilers beat them time and time again :)

• The Bow Tower is a relatively new sky scraper downtown. Very nice building to look at from afar and right underneath it ;)

• The Calgary Tower stood out on the skyline for decades, but it's literally tucked away now behind all the new buildings. Still a fantastic part of the Calgary skyline.

• I lived in Calgary from 2000 to 2001. My oldest son was born in the city. And this is the apartment building I lived in. Memories lol

• And finally, my mom and I just before she boarded the plane. It was such a blessing to have her here for all these months.
