Today we had our Friday session of the CryptoManiacs podcast and it started out with 45 minutes of amazing questions and answers from our audience...

You can check out the beginning of the podcast here!

https://anchor.fm/cryptomaniacs/episodes/The-CryptoManiacs-Podcast---Episode-14-ish-The-Question--Answer-Episode-e11p65o

But then we started talking about Hive...We discussed the projects we're building on CTP, a few other newbits as well but then came the question....

@taskmaster4450 asked me "What has caught your eyes this week on the blockchain?"

And that's what began our talking about everything happening in @splinterlands and their exciting announcement of 'SplinterShards' yesterday.

To say we were excited....Would be an understatement!

Hope you guys enjoy the second half of the podcast today :)

The video doesn't really show on LeoFinance but it does show on PeakD.

I never thought about fake cards and how digital ones can't be faked so long as you verify the creator/collection. But what do you think about games releasing a second revamped versions of the card? The old one still has its rarity but now other people can also get one of the cards for a cheaper price.

While I'm apprehensive about investing time and energy into blockchain games after what happened to dcity, I'm really happy to see people excited about this. The more cool projects we can build on Hive the better

Yeah dcity sure did screw a lot up for players of these games. Splinterlands is a much more solid experience.

I've just started listening to this, but I wanted to answer to @taskmaster4450, in regards to SPT and their part in the airdrop.

For the airdrop, participants will receive airdrop points based on their assets related to the game. The airdrop will be based on the percent of airdrop points one has relative to the entire mass of participants. There won't be any snapshot, the airdrop will be on a course of a year, starting in July, probably.

1 SPT is worth 0.25 airdrop point. For comparison, 1 liquid DEC is worth 1 airdrop point, 1 DEC in any LP (Eth-DEC, DEC-BUSD, on Diesel Pools?) is 2 points, and so on. I won't list the rest since you aren't a player or investor in Splinterlands, but these you may have come across. The white paper is at https://sps.splinterlands.com if you want to read it.

Looking forward to seeing what each card is going to be worth. It's done via DEC trade value apparently.

Apparently not. It will be DEC burn value. That's in the white paper. But maybe Matt will change that, because the burn value and the market value are completely different things, and obviously the market value (or better yet, the last trade value) is the one that should count.

Looking forward to those new CTP projects and Congratulations again on your score with the Splinterlands card pack. You need to buy a lottery ticket! :-)
