I Gave Up On My Diamond Dreams...But!!!

We're less than a day away from the end of the current season on #Splinterlands and 2 weeks ago, I had some lofty dreams...

You see, I've been slowly getting to 'know' the game of Splinterlands. I study a lot of the expert players and bug the crap out of @achim03 on a constant basis for hints and tips.

So when the new season started, I told myself I would get to 'Diamond League'...

Oh Diamond League, you glorious thing you!

Heck, I wasn't even picky...

Give me Diamond 3 and those 40 juicy loot chests! I'd be happy with that, and maybe in a few months I could jump into higher leagues within Diamond.

Looks like this season....Diamond is still just a dream for me!

I JUST managed to get into Gold 2 and the struggle I had to achieve this had me calling it quits, even with more than 12 hours left in the season.

Last season I got to Gold 1 but wow, the competition this season really seemed to be tougher than I was used to. There were matches that I thought I'd win for sure but alas....

Failed miserably LOL

Still....

You will NEVER hear me complain about these ;)

And right when Chaos is about to launch on Sunday...It's such an exciting time here in the game and community.

I'm really looking forward to the AMA tomorrow to feed my addiction for all things Splinterlands and to hear what's planned during the launch of VOUCHER and the entire Chaos Legion card packs.

How far did you progress this season?

Did you reach your goals?

I look forward to hearing your comments :)

I have a very similar feeling this season. It seems some seasons it's just not possible to get where you want. Last season I finished in champion III and this season I hardly manage to reach diamond I. I think it has a lot to do with how much players rent cards. The more rentals are used, the more difficult it gets to reach a higher league.

I'm contributing to that lol I just put a bunch of cards on the market for rent. But I really need to leanr how to effectively and efficently manage the rentals....Got any tutorials on that? LOL

I am barely in my max league so i'm calling it a day after today's quest. Don't want to risk dropping out.

Once you get into Diamond once, it will get easier in seasons going forward because you restart from Gold III instead of Silver III. Just got to do it that once lol.

I have changed my plan three days before the finale. I was aiming for Diamond league III but I preferred to rent many of my cards instead of competing for the leader board or higher rank. I will check the AMA replay and prepare for this presale event. Have you got any of the Chaos legion reward legendary cards offered in the loots chest?

Nah, just the rewards cards from the past month. Been stacking those!

Happy finale
Let's combine more cards from the loot chest.

Strange... This season was quite easy for me to reach Champions III, but the previous season was practically impossible. I guess there will always be fluctuations in our performances, depending on many factors, many of them random.

LOL! There are enough players better than me out there. But I always learn from them too, when I face them and get a beating.

That's the best way to learn, in my opinion, after you add to your collection a number of key cards and upgrade them to the optimal levels. By playing, and seeing what players that kick your ass are doing, that's how you learn. And winning strategies change in time. What works today in a month might have easy counters. Everything is constantly evolving. Both the game and the strategies.

You still think a lot like an investor, by purchasing GF legendary and epic cards. But often it's important to have a number of less prominent cards but very useful for the gameplay.

Season reward card tool used to have very useful stats about win rate by summoners, monsters and rulesets. But looks like these stats are offline after Splinterlands moved the gameplay to their servers.
