HOW LONG DOES ONE NEED TO HOLD ONTO A PATICULAR COIN THAT WAS ONCE A PROMISING ONE

Yeah it's always advisable to trade or invest what we can afford to loose and at the same time it's also advisable to make proper research on a coin before investing, but despite careful research and following to due steps there is still every inclination that we could end up investing on the wrong. No matter how much we try to invest what we can afford to loose, everyone is actually looking or waiting for they invest to generate profit but from my observation and experience it take a lot of time and patience in crypto before anyone can start seeing the profit of their investment.

Now back to the main topic, how long does one need to hold a particular coin that was once a promising one back in late 2020 ripple was such a promising coin, it has so many utilities event to the extent that some organizations accepted as mean of payment for their product and service, so with the way ripple was by then, it was actually a good coin to invest in but unfortunately ripple never seems to get to the promise land that people expected of it, in short the price has falling to a very great extent compared to what it was by then.

Now it's three years that i invested in ripple and by this time next year it will be four years,with the situation of the market and with the legal issues between the ripple and fed it's very hard ripple to attain it's potential. No one knows if it would win the case with fed or not.

So those that are still holding some coins and its yet to explode, will it be right to keep holding such or you sell them off.
