Thoughts On Psalms 37

Day #37 of our little 'Bible In A Year' challenge!

I've been able to keep up with the readings so far, even though I don't take part in the daily discussions as much as I'd like.

The 'Eat This Book' reading plan has been a blessing for me so far and I am enjoying the scheduled readings every day.

Today's Psalm (37) gave me a few goosebumps, and I wanted to share with you a few thoughts I had about a couple of verses in scripture.

This echoed Psalm 73 for me. Now I obviously haven't reached that in my daily readings, but Psalm 73 is one of my favorites of all time. Mainly because it deals with 'why the rich seem to get richer' and those that follow God don't have the 'blessings' as obvious as others. It challenges your faith big time, and I love it. Because as we know, in the end God's people are redeemed!

The next verse...Is a little deeper.

This to me, highlighted the seal of God found in Revelation 7. It goes back to the old testament as well, when God 'marked' Cain. There are two 'seals' or marks in Revelation and throughout scripture.

The Seal (or mark) of God and....The mark of the beast.

But looking at this verse in Psalms, again, God wins! And His redeemed win as well. "For the end of that man is....Peace!"

This is such an awesome experience and when you dive into reading the bible daily, you start seeing how it all comes together. Amazing stuff :)
