Globalization & The Relevance Of Internet-Based Skill sets.

Time & It's Dynamism

At a time when I was a toddler, one of the most important skill set was carpentry. Parents encouraged their children to have this as a skill in other to supplement their quest for a degree, at some other times it was mechanics, learning how to repair automobiles, for the females it was fashion designing, tailoring and so many more.

Kids who liked to play video games were considered to be a waste, especially because they're always not wanting to get these lucrative skill sets that was popular and In-demand at that particular time. Football as well wasn't seen as sustainable, it was called the lazy kid's choice, music as well was seen as indecency. Education was the best legacy, but then fast-forward to today, parents wants their kids to be models and play football simply because of how times have changed.

This is to say that time is variable and having a skill or skills can be dynamic, especially when it comes to financial relevance. For a person to stay financially relevant, they must be able to solve real time problems that are specifically In-demand. A typist who sticks with using a typewriter is irrelevant, because technology has changed with time, and they must stay relevant might learn how to operate a modern day computer.

Nowadays, the better skill sets would be those that can be easily transitioned, like in the example I mentioned above. An uncle of mine was into the mastery of Lexus automobiles back in the days, he left the trade for taxi services when "taxi" became very lucrative and hadn't had brand names like Uber or Taxify.

Trend & Demand

Today he's back to automobiles again, dealing in the parts and even having a mastery in car repairs. The reason why he made so many switches was to stay relevant in that same track. Demand from a general perspective will always change and this is because trends will suffocate trends, knowledge isn't static, technology has actually proven this.

while we're having sales representatives, language tutors or teachers, in the future, robots will do a lot of these jobs, and it will be left for people to chose diverse opportunities where they can of course find that relevance to be financially valuable. For example, writing is a skill that I believe would remain relevant, and why is this?

How The Internet Has Changed Things

The ability to put diverse human thoughts and intuitions into paper can produce ingenuity. Skills like programming, content analysis, creating, data analysis and so many others are not physical skills, they're more of a mental skill that has gotten rather valuable as a result of the change in trend in time.

Because of how technologicalised the world is becoming, creating of true wealth is becoming more of a mental thing, take a look at the internet for example, some of the wealthiest people in the world have actually taken advantage of the world's globalization to amass a lot of wealth for themselves. Due to the fact that people want their real-time businesses to be seen, they've taken the internet as a tool to reach more audience, giving more relevance to people like social media influencers, influencing and marketing as well.

Working Hard Smart

We haven't even began to talk about cryptocurrency. It's important that we see the trend, this would have up predict the direction in which the future will sway, with things like Covid-19 coming into play people are beginning to take a different financial standpoint, people have come to understand that they need assurance against the constant change of time and trend and the major way to do this is predicting where the human relevance is likely to bring better Financial standings.

To me, gaming, crypto, tech and blockchain is the future of wealth and not even natural occurrences like Covid-19 can halt it. We have seen that some skill sets and expertise can be rendered valueless by phenomenon like time, a change in technology and a change in demand, trend and many more. Time has transitioned "working hard" to working smart,, and soon it might be "working seamlessly" or something more sleek.

Globalization has created an financial environment where Monopolies are accepted despite the negative historical repercussions as a result in the not to distant past. With monopolies skilled craftsman are push aside for more profitability by the plutocrats and politicians in order to preserve their wealth, power and as a result control.

Taking away power from skilled tradesmen who can accumulate wealth independently is seemingly the goal.

In my opinion skilled trades are like the undervalued alt coin. Still need them and they are important to acquire while young. Now that is not too say following trends isn't as important but to stay grounded in the reality directly in front us... no not computer screen or phone but rather the human aspect.

I don't know I can go on but then I realized you got me! You got me thinking and rambling😅 Good game sir...

Technology and automation will make a ton of jobs worthless. Everyone should be getting use to the new things being shown because I think the digital world is the future. The only problem I see is that there isn't enough people embracing the new model of being paid for your data.

I believe that will change, people will soon have no choice but to adapt into the new model especially when otherwise is no longer lucrative or viable.
