China has done it again ...

China has done it again and blocked the CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, and TradingView websites through its now famous Internet firewall.

A week ago the Chinese communist government banned all cryptocurrency transactions and today it just did this. You can tell that they are trying to prepare the field of the digital Yuan so that when it is officially launched it will have no or almost no competition.

For now I do not believe that in Europe or the USA this type of measure is possible. I say for now because seeing everything that is currently happening, it would not surprise me that in the not too distant future, when the digital Euro is almost a reality, something similar to what is happening in China may begin to happen.

In the countries of Latin America and Africa it is impossible, due to technological, social, economic issues, etc., for governments to do something like this. And to be honest, I don't see in those governments a "control" mentality regarding cryptocurrencies but rather a "use" mentality. The case of El Salvador and its adoption of Bitcoin as a currency of legal possession can be put as an example.

It may be that this is, as has happened previously, simply a tantrum from the Chinese Communist Party and another attempt to monopolize the issue of cryptocurrencies in the nation, especially with the imminent arrival of the digital Yuan. Or who knows, maybe we will witness the first real possibility of a cryptocurrency ban but I don't think so.

Anyway, whenever I think about these issues I remember this animated Gif that I made some time ago!
