NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR HEALTH

According to World Health Organization (WHO) defined health as "a state of complete physical, social, and mental well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". It should be noted that there are three dimension or component of health in this definition i.e. the word physical, social, and mental. To say a person is healthy all theses three component must be met.

Health of individuals can be considered as being good if it reflects the elements of all the dimension of health. Good health does not only contribute to better quality of life but is absolutely essential for a virile labour force for socio-economic development of the individuals and nation. Health is basic and important just like the need for shelter, clothing and food.

➡ Dimension of health:
◼ Physical health- refers to anatomical integrity and physiological functioning of the body. To say a person is physically healthy " All body parts should be there, All of them are doing their physiological functions properly, None of them has any pathology or disease condition."

◼ Mental health- ability to learn and think clearly. A person with good mental health is able to handle day-to-day events and obstacles, work towards important goals, and function effectively in the society.
▶ Mentally healthy persons have among others the following characteristics:
▪ Adaptable and resilient minds
▪ Social adaptability
▪ Emotional satisfaction
▪ Desire goals that are harmony and social approval.
▪ Have insight into their personal conducts.
▪ Enthusiasm and reasonability.
▪ Good habit.
▪ Reasonable philosophy of life.
◼ Social health- ability to make and maintain acceptable interactions with other people E.g. To feel sad when somebody dear or close to you passes away.

Health is an essential resource for everyday life, not the object of living. It is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capabilities. Health requires individuals to adjust, grow, develop, and interact with the environment as a whole in mind, body and spirit.

The important of taking care of your health cannot be overemphasized. Physically, socially, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. If I may ask.. How much attention do you give to the intimate machine you have i mean your body or are you just using it without maintaining it? Let's hope it doesn't fail you when you need to depend greatly on it.

Stay mindful of what goes into your body and your mind in order to maintain general wellness. Yello... Take that much needed time out or rest time this weekend, exercise, meditate, eat well, do something fun and continue to grow.

As the saying goes" health is wealth", ofcourse yes, if you ain't healthy you won't be able to do any work to earn, both physical, mental and social health is very important in our lives, avoiding things that affects your sanity is good, resting/sleeping in vital too, we must learn how to take care of our health

Our health is an important aspect of our wellbeing.

A healthy man is a wealthy man, both physically, socially, mentally and otherwise.

Health is an intertwine between physical wellbeing and economic/financial comfort, remove one from the other, it is misery.
