May, 2019. My A1C level: 288. For Diabetes, that's critical.

My goal: cut that number in half by year-end.

I reached a milestone, as my A1C level on 12/31 was 142.

1/1/20 is the next phase.

I must continue this journey in order to live.

At the extrem, I can see a house with an entrance created by the green plants.

HaHa...Me too. When I see a picture, it has to tell me a story if I look hard enough. The starting point of my journey with my disease last May is represented by the stump. The house represents year end, 2019. Once I pass through the house on January 1, 2020, I'm into the 2nd phase of my journey trying to reduce my A1C level to under 100.

The light on the other side is waiting for me IF I can accomplish my goals.

You'll notice the light is a long way off. That signifies it's a long process I must go through and walk a different path to get to the light at the end of it all.

Thanks so much for visiting my post. Appreciate that you saw what I have to achieve. But then, you're an artist. Have a great day.

Yes, I will. I'm Type 2. My A1C level was 288 in May, 2019. I was really sick and didn't know it.

Going to stick to my resolution to reduce my number a few points each month.

I've honestly never heard of anyone's A1C being that high. My last one was 8.1 and my doc had a fit. 6.5 is my target. I can't imagine how high your sugar must be on a daily basis to have a 3 month average A1C of over 200!!

You're talking about your percentage.
MAY, 2019
My A1C Value (%) = 11.5%
Average Blood Glucose (mg/dl) = 288

Yes, my number was 288. On Dec. 31st, I've gotten it down to the 140s. I need to get it under 100. I monitor myself twice a day. I was allergic to Medforin, so I tried several different meds to try to lower it quickly, then go on management to get even lower.

When I take my reading each day, it shows in mg value.

My goal is:
under <6% or <100 ABG
