Greetings Hivers, I have recently upped Harry the lamb's football training regime, and Monkey-B was able to help document this new set of skills.

šŸ‘ Proof Harry Can Actually Dribble āš½

Ā  Ā  Ā I think I've mentioned Harry's football prowess in previous posts, but I've been able to show you all more than Harry just moving the ball around with his head. The truth is Harry actually understands much more about this beloved international sport.

Ā  Ā  Ā Harry mostly prefers to play a tight one-on-one defense, following the ball very closely with his eyes. It's hard to trick him, and you can see in the video Monkey-B shot how excited he gets when I try and sprint away from him with the ball. I've learned the key is to get him excited then conveniently lose possession of the ball near him, and this almost elicits an offensive attack from Harry.

Ā  Ā  Ā Monkey-B does need to work on holding the camera steady when filming, but the footage is worth showing because you can really sense Harry's pure joy when playing football. There is at least one occasion of the "Harry Attack" in this video, and that is where he literally runs to the ball and jumps on it, then dribbles it a bit between his front and back legs before losing control.

Ā  Ā  Ā Eventually I hope to get some better footage before we leave Suriname, because I haven't experienced much simpler and pure joy than when I'm running around with Harry in the backyard. When he gets too excited he jumps uncontrollably, and that lust for life is infectious. There is truly something mystical about this lamb, and I must admit I'll be sad to leave him behind.

Harry could become a professional football player if he is the man! Harry is very agile and his legs are strong. Harry good jobšŸ˜

I think he could be a better defender than some humans I've seen on the field. So cute when pounces on the ball and tries to kick it between his legs.

Honestly is my first time seeing this. Please have more about Harry the lamb playing football.

It is low-hanging fruit for Hive content, but also somehow it never gets boring. I will try and have my wife capture some better footage soon, but I can't get behind the camera because I'm the only one who can get him super excited with the football.

this Harry hardly gives you space to dribble, I see this Harry is very excited, he also seems very fond of the ball.

True, huh, this lamb's brain has been stimulated since birth, and I think he's lost some of his herd mentality. I really feel he is a deep-thinker, and I sense he is bored with his fellow sheep who just eat grass and go back to the barn without any greater desires in life. Harry needs to be on a movie set, the center of attention, getting love from many different folks.

Hi hi Justin.. wow.. a great post.. Harry can really dribble.. your video is like how Asians normally make.. hahahah.. that cute background sound.. and the calm narration. Usually when I watch American YouTube videos, it's gonna be very explosive and crude... Hahaha..

Monkey B can speak so well.. hahaha.. shaky footages are pretty cool sometimes.. it shows the real side of life.. with no editing..

Well, maybe this week's project is to teach Monkey-B how to hold the camera steady and walk with it. It was all spur of the moment, and Monkey-B started filming without my knowledge. Most of the previous times we tried to catch this on camera, we were either too slow or Harry wasn't particularly excited. Hopefully we'll get premium football footage before we leave Suriname.

HahhaH.. I do get that feeling of when Harry isn't excited especially on camera. It is sometimes those missed shots which are amazing shots. Sometimes, I appreciate my bad shaky shots too. At least some form of electronic memory is saved.

Sometimes I try to record videos of my tortoise. It just doesn't want to do funny things when it's off camera... šŸ˜šŸ˜

Heartwarming footage! ā¤ļø

P.S. It seemed to be more of an autofocus lack of light issue than shakiness ( alone ) but the video itself easily made up for it.

I wish I had a football lamb to play with and I can easily understand why Harry will always have a place in your heart!

and before I forget, Harry should have his own crypto token, kind of like Doge but then with a cute lamb with a soccerball. I also feel that the Harry coin could indeed have functionality, one way or another. Perhaps it could help you to adopt him, or to send him a soccerball, every now and then.

P.S. I just discovered that LAMB ( Lambda ) already exists as a token. It was to be expected with over 10k coins nowadays...

That would be epic indeed! If I was a financially wealthier person, I'd honestly try to coordinate Harry's relocation to Cambodia. Harry definitely his own brand of something. I guess in Suriname he'd be more likely to have a roti shop named after him.

A roti shop named after him? You mean turned into shoarma or kebab or something along those lines? Poor harry. In all honesty, most male animals are turned into meat here in Portugal too, unless they are used for insemination.

That wealth is going to come your way. It's only a matter of time...

I didn't even think of an irony when I wrote that, but you're right, Harry was destined to become someone's dinner from the day he was born. He may be used to mate, but he'll eventually wind up on someone's table. He loves living life on 3 meter leash more than most humans that have lots of money, free time, and freedom of movement, so I would argue he should have a right to life just as much as humans, but that is my ego speaking, as this is just my personal reality.

Either way, we hope the next five years can be spent recovering from this stranded abroad trauma as united family. I just hope that this hardship didn't carry on for too many years that it has permanently affected our children.

So many things went wrong, the lighting, shakiness, and the focus, but glad you still see the gem within. I've had several dogs in my life, but even fetching a tennis ball has been a chore for some dogs. Harry is more interested in play than any dog I've ever known, and it makes me wonder if I will ever find another sheep like Harry, especially in Cambodia, because if I did, it would be an immediate part of our family.

Same here, loads of experience with dogs but teaching them tricks is another thing. I sure tried with a border collie and a frisbee, until he had to be on a leash, most of the time, as he always walked away.

I trust you will find another creature like Harry in Cambodia and am already curious what kind of animal it is going to be :<)

Thanks, perhaps we will live next door to a newborn water buffalo in Cambodia, and it will the water buffalo version of Harry. Somehow I feel he is unique though, and nothing will come close to being "Harry."

I keep thinking he will lose interest as he ages, but that hasn't been the case, he is just getting smarter and more technical. I promise to get some better footage in the near future.

This is so cool and actually mesmerising to watch. Did you teach her that or was an inherent skill?

There was a previous brother of Harry named Hero, and my family and I taught him to hit the ball with his head a bit, but he never showed more interest beyond that, we could hardly call it playing.

Harry, however, is a different story. He showed great interest and curiosity in watching us kick the ball around, and he eventually came and walked in the middle of us kicking the ball, and that's how this all started. When I play with him, I experiment with different things to see what he likes, and it seems to be when the ball bounces and also when I run with it.

Cuteness overflow! This is the kind of footage decades later when you sit back with your grandkids and tell them once upon a time, there's this dog lamb called Harry

It is just "too much" as we say where I'm from. I definitely hope to not lose this footage through time, and I really hope to get something filmed soon with better quality. Time with Harry will definitely be among our greatest memories here in Suriname.

I wish I had seen this sooner. It would have been the perfect remedy for my blahs. Oh I love this innocence so much. The sound of Monkey B's voice so sweet and the sheep dog playing makes me question life. Not a problem with Monkey B's camera work.

It certainly made my day. When Harry gets excited he starts sideways prancing, and it is too adorable. It's really bizarre the way we play with him, just like a dog and he's perfectly fine with it. I have forgotten all my worries many times while chasing Harry around the backyard with Monkey-B.
