Every time I have to finish of those messy edges, I wish I had an overlocker or serger.
The sewing-machines alternative just doesn't cut it

With firm fabrics I sometimes use a stitched and pinked edge or a Hong Kong finish, but for most knitwear a serger is best. I am also a fan of French seams for sheers.

The raw edges of the seams are bound with fabric binding.
