Did you know? Cryptoeconomy has found its way into high school education!
Students in Georgia (US) highschools will start being taught cryptocurrency! Yes, it is true! But lets clarify something about this news that appeared as head line!
You always need to know that headlines can be (and usually are) a little bit deceptive. The journalists want their articles to be clicked .. so the full story is that:
The lesson of cryptocurrency is among 15 other lessons that will be about tax assessments, money management, investing .. cryptocurrency etc.

So, its not like it is an individual lesson, but it will be taught in combination with other finance related courses.
As Cointelegraph mentions:
The module was designed to give students a basic knowledge of cryptocurrency in relation to the traditional financial world. The module pushed students to answer questions such as “Is Bitcoin the currency of the future?”, “Can Bitcoin replace the Euro?” and “Do you have trust in your currency?”.
One thing I also found very interesting was that the votes were 169-2! So, the majority of them really believes that financial literacy is a very important asset that can be taught to kid from their young age.
I happen to also agree with that and I believe that it can help children a lot!
Something else that deserves to be mentioned is that it is not the first time that crypto enters school education!
In 2019, a Bitcoin & Cryptocurrency module was implemented in schools by the French education ministry.

I think there is a problem with existing education system, people are not taught financial literacy at all. Thus, we see lots of people deceived by frauds or lose their money in markets 😑
