Reader Token: Early Access Granted to Decrypt.co Subscribed Users

I had almost forgot that 7 months ago, decrypt.co was inviting its readers to sign up and be rewarded with tokens for reading content!

You can check out my previous article here and read on to see about the brand new token that rewards the readers of this crypto-news website!

If you had read it back then and had signed up, chances are that you already have received the email about early access to the token & wallet!

2 days ago I received an email where I was asked to download the decrypt app and to create a wallet so that I could be rewarded in their token for reading their content.

The best part of it?
I am anyways reading their content, which I find interesting and well written.

Attention, this is not financial advise - nor do I suggest that you download the app. This is my opinion, based on my today's experience

Downloaded app

I tested the IOS app. It was easy to download, however I noticed that there were no reviews - at all. That made me think about it for a while - but I finally downloaded it.

Some info about the app

What data it stores, its size etc

It is 38.6 MB and it does use data like location, contact info etc that are linked to my identity.

After you download the app

It seems to be fast, not causing any issues to my iphone (iphone 7+) - When I click the menu - I see the wallet option that I have to click in order to create a wallet.

To be honest, it took me sometime (3 times) because it would simply send me a link in my email that would lead nowhere

But third time, after me sending my email address - I was asked to write a pin number (6 digit) which I did - and if I wanted, I could use a public username (i used katerinaramm)

Having some questions (of course!) about the token, I went on to read the FAQ

One of the most important things I noticed is that it is an Ethereum based token.

How you earn tokens?

You earn tokens when you read an article, interact (i.e. like), or share the article.

What can you do with the tokens?

At the moment, pretty much nothing.
But apparently soon the token holders will be able to redeem the tokens for specific rewards/NFTs and anything else their collaborators offer.

How can you join?

If you have not received an invite, you could try downloading their app or signing up for their newsletter. If it does not do the trick, send them a dm or wait for the public release!
