Ever thought of asking for the price before enjoying any product or service?

Getting into a market, you will always see varieties of items and products displayed for the viewing pleasure of anyone that cares to look. No matter how unique or special an item may appear to be, one thing that every one of them has in common is that it always has a price.

Of course, if there is no price for a product, what is the essence of displaying it in a market?

It's there to be sold for money so, even if there is no physically attached price tag per se, you will always hear the price when you enquire the seller.

The same thing applies to services. A service provider knows what it will cost him to render a service. If you need what he has to offer, it's expected of you to verify the price to avoid getting yourself into a dicey situation.

This is practically easier said than done.
Or not?

I have never been shy about verifying the cost before taking hold of a product or enjoying any service, but somehow, today came in a different style. I took my phone to print out the hard copy of a document that I want to keep safe at home before making a trip that I scheduled to hold this weekend.

Last I checked, it costs $0.2 to print a copy of any documents directly from an external device. It only costs more if they were to use the internet to retrieve the documents but that wasn't the case at the moment because everything was to be printed from my phone with no internet whatsoever.

I will be printing 10 copies of the document and I roughly calculated everything to cost $2. When the young lady in charge of the printing was done with her stuff, I paid $2 and was hoping for a small, but that was nowhere to be found on the lady's face. Arghh!

What is it? I inquired. And that is when she dropped the bombshell on me.

Turns out that it now costs $0.4 to print a copy from an external device so, the 10 copies I got amounted to $4. To cap it all, she said that it's all thanks to inflation and all whatnot (I was no longer paying attention at that point).

Luckily for me, I had enough cash to cover the expenses. I always hold extra in my wallet because you never know when it will come in handy. Today is one of those days and I paid off the money.

That notwithstanding, I learned my lesson today and I suggest you do the same especially if you are living in a country where price instability is the order of the day.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

I don't ask for prices especially when I know the product is inevitable or might make me some money back, sometimes shying away from spending makes us spend even more.

Two, If it's my favourite goat meat soup with egusi soup and fufu. I don't as well.

Hahhaha... I think, the only sure place I never make enquiry about prices is when I visit my barber shop or anyother barber shop. I'm pretty sure that it never costs more than #500 so, I just go in and do the stuff and moveeeee. Haha.

Seems like you are a big fan of Egwusi soup. Chaiiiii.

Enjoy ooooo

My dear, you have to inquire first before taking action.

Prices are really getting inflated and it's sickening. You never know what the next day holds.
