Ignorance: Believe you me, what we know here is very little!

By this time last year, everything Cryptoish was still sounding alien to me.

I was earning 1Up (a Crypto token built on ETH blockchain), but I wasn't sure of what I was doing. All I knew is that I had an opportunity to interact with creative thinkers on a blockchain-based social media platform.

It was until the bull run of October, 2020 that I got an exchanger to sell it off for me and I got ripped off like no-man's-business. It was a daylight robbery but what I still find ridiculous is that I was very thankful to the guy when he was helping me with the transaction. I was only concerned about converting invisible digital money into fiat so, I didn't bother to measure how favourable the deal was. Funny enough, what I paid as a gas fee was worth more than the fiat I got and it still didn't feel 'off' at that.

You do be surprised to know that it took 3 months before I realized that I was ripped off. Talk about ignorance!

Yeah, the whole thing that happened at that time was due to my ignorance. Despite being involved with a platform that rewards members with Crypto tokens, I was still a rookie in all ramifications as far as Crypto transactions were concerned.

Every time I think of that incident and my journey in this Cryptoverse as a whole, it reminds me of this quote;

What we know here is very little, but what we are ignorant of is immense ~ Pierre Simon Laplace.

It was in January 2021 that I decided to learn about Crypto. Not everything, just the basic transactional aspect of it. It's needless to say how rewarding this decision has been. Everything I learned then was through trial and error, personal research and consultations.

Don't you think it's time to widen your knowledge?

It's meant to be common knowledge, but for those that are not aware, you need to know that there is always something out there that needs to be learnt. I used my experience as a rookie in Crypto transactions to give an example but the same thing is applicable in everyother aspect of our life.

Ever since I found out about this, I've been on an endless journey of learning and personal growth. I try to learn new things whenever I see something worth trying and I try to improve on the skills I already have.

Taking steps towards personal growth and development has come to be a thing for me. I've had a taste of the consequence of not knowing what I'm supposed to know. I wouldn't want to be in that position again.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

It's so frustrating, I was ripped too sometime last year due to ignorance..

Widening our knowledge is very necessary mostly when we want to commit ourselves to a particular thing..

Thank God for this community, you can always ask questions and get good answers..

Thanks

Yeah, being in a place where you can ask question freely and get genuine answers makes it easier for us to widen our knowledge.

Ignorance is clearly not a good thing

We are all constantly making mistakes and learning from them. This includes the people who have made millions from crypto. Keep on learning each day :)
