¡Hola Hivers del Mundo! Luego de unos merecidos días de descanso de #Hive. ¡Por qué si! siempre es bueno darse un break del blog, para reinventarse, entrenar la creatividad, la imaginación y también para atender otros asuntos importantes, como mi responsabilidad de asistir a ensayo coral, ya que nuestro evento del Carmina Burana esta muy cerca de llevarse a cabo. Es por eso que hoy quiero contarles que he hecho estos días y el motivo de mi ausencia. ¡Aquí vamos!

Hello Hivers of the World! After a few well deserved days off from #Hive. why yes! it's always good to take a break from the blog, to reinvent yourself, to train creativity, imagination and also to attend to other important matters, like my responsibility to attend choral rehearsal, since our Carmina Burana event is very close to take place. That's why today I want to tell you what I have been doing these days and the reason for my absence. Here we go!

Para empezar quiero contarles en relación al coro y nuestros encuentros. En principio estábamos ensayando los días viernes de 5 a 7 P.M, pero el tiempo se queda corto para tan extensa que es esta obra. Entonces lograr que más de 150 personas canten y pronuncien bien el latín y el alemán, es complicado. A pesar de que hay algunas personas allí que han cantado toda su vida, que se han dedicado a esto como su profesión y otras que ya han cantado esta pieza, resulta difícil hacer que el ensayo sea eficaz y efectivo.

To begin with, I would like to tell you about the choir and our meetings. In principle we were rehearsing on Fridays from 5 to 7 PM, but the time is too short for such an extensive work. So getting more than 150 people to sing and pronounce Latin and German well is complicated. Even though there are some people there who have sung all their lives, who have dedicated themselves to this as their profession and others who have already sung this piece, it is difficult to make the rehearsal efficient and effective.

Por tal motivo, el director decidió realizar talleres por voces, destinando los días lunes y jueves a esto. Pero ¿Cómo funciona? bueno la dinámica consiste en ensayar las sopranos y contraltos (voces claras) un día y los bajos y tenores (voces oscuras) otro día, rotando entre lunes y jueves los ensayos para no desfavorecer a los integrantes. Por otra parte, el coro esta integrado por coralistas de varias agrupaciones corales del Estado, entre esas, algunas personas del coro universitario de la UNET (Universidad Nacional Experimental del Estado Táchira), del cual fui integrante de sus filas, durante aproximadamente 8 años.

For this reason, the director decided to hold workshops by voices, allocating Mondays and Thursdays to this. But How does it work? Well, the dynamic consists in rehearsing the sopranos and altos (light voices) one day and the basses and tenors (dark voices) another day, rotating the rehearsals between Mondays and Thursdays so as not to disadvantage the members. On the other hand, the choir is integrated by choristers of several choral groups of the State, among them, some people of the university choir of the UNET (Universidad Nacional Experimental del Estado Táchira), of which I was a member of its ranks, for approximately 8 years.

Entonces, esta semana el lunes las voces claras ya tuvimos nuestro primer ensayo y a pesar de que teníamos todo el tiempo para nosotras, el director no se detiene a ver detalles de la obra, sino que vamos avanzando rápidamente. Así que el autoestudio es importante para pulir esas partes que requieren de mayor atención y que son complicadas. Por eso mis amigas del coro UNET, nos reunimos el miércoles de esa misma semana para trabajar en la obra y reforzar lo que ya hemos estudiado en los ensayos de voces claras y los generales.

So, this week on Monday the clear voices already had our first rehearsal and even though we had all the time for ourselves, the director does not stop to see details of the work, but we are moving forward quickly. So the self-study is important to polish those parts that require more attention and are complicated. That's why my friends from the UNET choir, we met on Wednesday of the same week to work on the piece and reinforce what we have already studied in the clear voice and general rehearsals.

Este ensayo de nosotras, fue bastante productivo, cantamos y además merendamos unas deliciosas galletas de chips de chocolate y maní hechas por mi amiga Olga, quien tiene su emprendimiento en Instagram llamado Olmosbakes, tiene una variedad de postres muy ricos y yo soy fan de sus brownies y galletas. Así que este día nada más podía salir mejor, alegría para el corazón. Si ustedes conocieron todos los beneficios que aportar cantar, lo hicieran más seguido, sin importar el resultado jaja.

This rehearsal of ours, was quite productive, we sang and also sold some delicious chocolate chip and peanut cookies made by my friend Olga, who has her venture on Instagram called Olmosbakes, she has a variety of very rich desserts and I am a fan of her brownies and cookies. So this day nothing else could go better, joy to the heart. If you knew all the benefits of singing, you would do it more often, no matter the outcome haha.

El día termino con un atardecer increíble, pude disfrutar del cielo y sus colores, porque regrese a mi casa caminando y escuchando mi música favorita actualmente. The day ended with an incredible sunset, I was able to enjoy the sky and its colors, because I returned home walking and listening to my favorite music at the moment. Later I will make a post with my favorite songs of the moment. So that's all for today, see you next time, hugs!
