(DE/EN) - 2 % per Day - Pizza Tower - Passive income or scam?

Intro
Vor ein paar Tagen hat mich ein Gildenkollege auf das Spiel Pizza Tower aufmerksam gemacht.
Seine Aussage: "Man kann dort 2% Rendite pro Tag machen!"
Das ist so auch korrekt. Jedoch muss man sich fragen, ob das ein nachhaltiges Geschäftsmodell ist, oder innerhalb kürzester Zeit der Spielbetrieb wieder eingestellt wird.
Schauen wir es uns etwas genauer an.
Intro
A few days ago, a fellow guild member brought the game Pizza Tower to my attention.
His statement: "You can make 2% return per day there!".
That is correct as well. However, you have to wonder if this is a sustainable business model, or within a very short time the game will be shut down again.
Let's take a closer look.
Was ist Pizza Tower?
Pizza Tower bezeichnet sich selbst als ein Play2Earn Investment Game.
Ihr eröffnet ihr eure eigene Pizzeria in einem Turm. Soweit passt der Name schonmal zum Spiel.
Wer jetzt jedoch an Pizza Connection und die unendlichen Möglichkeiten des Belegens einer Pizza denkt, oder des Einrichtens der eigenen Pizzeria den muss ich enttäuschen.
Bei Pizza Tower habt ihr "nur" die Möglichkeit Euch Stockwerke des Towers zu mieten. Eurer Pizzabäcker fängt dann sofort automatisch an Pizza zu backen und diese an die Leute ausliefern zu lassen. 2-3 Klicks und ihr seid im Geschäft und verdient euer erstes Geld.
Eine englische Beschreibung des Spiels könnt ihr hier finden. Ich beschreibe aber auch die wichtigsten Punkte in diesem Artikel.
What is Pizza Tower?
Pizza Tower describes itself as a Play2Earn investment game.
You open your own pizzeria in a tower. So far the name fits the game.
But if you think of Pizza Connection and the endless possibilities of topping a pizza, or setting up your own pizzeria, I have to disappoint you.
In Pizza Tower you "only" have the possibility to rent floors of the tower. Your pizza maker will then automatically start baking pizzas and deliver them to the people. 2-3 clicks and you are in business and earning your first money.

Wie geht es los?
Um ein Stockwerk im Turm mieten zu können müsst ihr zuerst BNB gegen die Ingame Währung Pizza Coins (Coins) tauschen.
Ein Coin hat dabei den festen Wert von 0,00002 BNB (derzeit ca. 0,0055 $).
Ihr verlinkt also eure Wallet z.B. Metamask mit Pizza Tower und kauft über den Button links oben die gewünschte Menge an Coins.
How does it start?
To rent a floor in the tower you first have to exchange BNB for the ingame currency Pizza Coins (Coins).
One coin has the fixed value of 0.00002 BNB (currently approx. 0.0055 $).
So you link your wallet e.g. Metamask with Pizza Tower and buy the desired amount of coins via the button in the upper left corner.
Das erste Level des ersten Stockwerks kostet 500 Coins also 0,01 BNB (derzeit ca. 2,75 $).
Das ist das mindeste was ihr investieren müsstet, um zu beginnen.
Vorab - mit dieser Investition, werdet ihr kein Geld aus dem Spiel ziehen können.
Wie verdiene ich Geld?
Sobald ihr ein Stockwerk erworben habt legt euer Pizzabäcker los, backt und verkauft voll automatisch eure Pizzen.
Pro Stunde sammeln sich so Pizza Bucks (Bucks) in eurer Kasse an.
Für die eben getätigte Investition ins erste Stockwerk gibt es 41 Bucks pro Stunde.
100 Bucks haben den Gegenwert eines Coin also 0,00002 BNB.
Spätestens alle 24 Stunden sollte ihr die Bucks über den "Get Money" Button aus der Kasse auf Euer Konto In Game Konto, da die Kasse nicht mehr als 24 Stunden an Einnahmen aufnehmen kann.
Was mache ich mit Pizza Bucks?
Ihr könnt die Bucks nicht direkt in Coins tauschen. Ihr könnt Sie aber jederzeit über den "-" Button als BNB auf Eure verlinkte Wallet (z.B. Metamask) senden.
Dann habt ihr entweder die BNB auf eurer Wallet und kauft etwas anderes schönes damit, oder ihr kauft neue Coins mit den BNB und das Spiel beginnt von vorne.
So könnt ihr Stück für Stück euren Tower ausbauen.
Habt ihr genug Coins und klickt auf ein neues Stockwerk so mietet ihr dieses und backt auch dort Pizzen.
Klickt ihr auf ein bestehendes Stockwerk könnt ihr dieses bis auf Level 5 ausbauen und so mehr Pizzen pro Stunde backen und verkaufen.
The first level of the first floor costs 500 coins, which is 0.01 BNB (currently about $2.75).
This is the minimum you need to invest to get started.
First of all - with this investment, you will not be able to make money from the game.
How do I earn money?
Once you have purchased a floor, your pizza maker will start baking and selling your pizzas automatically.
Every hour Pizza Bucks (Bucks) will accumulate in your cash box.
For the investment you just made in the first floor, you get 41 Bucks per hour.
100 Bucks have the equivalent value of a coin, i.e. 0.00002 BNB.
Every 24 hours at the latest you should transfer the Bucks from the cash register to your In Game account using the "Get Money" button, as the cash register cannot hold more than 24 hours of earnings.
What do I do with Pizza Bucks?
You cannot exchange the Bucks directly into Coins. However, you can always send them as BNB to your linked wallet (e.g. Metamask) via the "-" button.
Then you either have the BNB on your wallet and buy something else nice with it, or you buy new coins with the BNB and the game starts all over again.
This way you can upgrade your tower piece by piece.
If you have enough coins and click on a new floor, you can rent it and bake pizzas there as well.
If you click on an existing floor you can upgrade it up to level 5 and bake and sell more pizzas per hour.

Was soll ich ausbauen?
Wie ihr an den beiden Screenshots seht, steigt die Rentabilität mit jedem Stockwerk leicht an.
Wenn man genügend Coins hat, macht es also Sinn lieber ein neues Stockwerk hinzuzufügen, als ein bestehendes auszubauen.
Das geht aber schnell ins Geld. Während Stockwerk 1 noch 500 Coins kostet, kostet Stockwerk 2 bereits 1.500 Coins und Stockwerk 3 bereits 4.500 Coins.
Man kann grob sagen der Preis pro Stockwerk verdreifacht sich, bis Stockwerk 8 für das man dann 1 Million Coins bzw. 20 BNB zahlt.
What should I expand?
As you can see from the two screenshots, the profitability increases slightly with each floor.
If you have enough coins, it makes more sense to add a new floor than to expand an existing one.
However, the costs rise steeply. While floor 1 still costs 500 Coins, floor 2 already costs 1,500 Coins and floor 3 already 4,500 Coins.
You can roughly say that the price per floor triples until floor 8, for which you then pay 1 million coins or 20 BNB.
Gibt es Risiken
Natürlich gibt es auch Risiken.
Das Spiel schafft keine Werte
Erstens entstehen in diesem Spiel keinerlei Werte.
Ihr besitzt auch keine NFTs wie z.B. bei Splinterlands.
Alles was ihr habt ist das Versprechen der Betreiber von Pizza Tower 100 Bucks jederzeit in 0,00002 BNB tauschen zu können.
Solange das eingelöst werden kann ist alles gut.
Wie die Betreiber jedoch aus den eingezahlten BNB 2 % ROI pro Tag machen wollen, erschließt sich mir nicht.
Sobald niemand neues mehr in das Game einzahlt, wird es meiner Ansicht nach den Betrieb einstellen, und man kann keine Gelder mehr rausholen.
Was ist mit Gas Fees?
Jede Transaktion auf der Binance Smart Chain ist mit Transaktionsgebühren belastet.
Diese sind natürlich deutlich niedriger als bei Ethereum, aber sie sind da.
Das abholen der Gelder aus der Kasse in mein Ingame Konto, um es mir später auszahlen lassen zu können kostet zum Beispiel 0,000416 BNB Fee. Also 20,8 Coins bzw. 2080 Bucks.
Das ist auch der Grund warum, es sich nicht lohnt nur das erste Stockwerk für 2,75 $ auszubauen und dann 41 Bucks pro Stunde einzunehmen. Am Tag wären das gerade einmal 984 Bucks und damit nichtmal genug um die Gas Fees fürs Abholen des Geldes zu bezahlen.
Darüber hinaus muss natürlich auch für das Umwandeln des Geldes in BNB, den Kauf von Coins und die Investition der Coins in den Tower jeweils Fees gezahlt werden.
Are there risks
Of course, there are risks.
The game does not create any values
First of all, no values are created in this game.
You also don't own any NFTs like in Splinterlands for example.
All you have is the promise of the operators of Pizza Tower to exchange 100 Bucks for 0.00002 BNB at any time.
As long as that can be redeemed, all is well.
But how the operators want to make 2% ROI per day out of the deposited BNB is beyond me.
As soon as no one new pays into the game, it will stop operating in my opinion, and you can't get any more money out of it.
What about gas fees?
Every transaction on the Binance smart chain is subject to transaction fees.
These are of course much lower than Ethereum, but they are there.
For example, picking up funds from the cashier into my in-game account to withdraw later costs 0.000416 BNB Fee. So 20,8 Coins or 2080 Bucks.
That's also the reason why it's not worth to build only the first floor for 2,75 $ and then take 41 Bucks per hour. In a day that would be just 984 Bucks and not even enough to pay the gas fees for collecting the money.
In addition, of course, fees must be paid for converting the money into BNB, buying coins and investing the coins in the tower.
Warum investieren?
Trotz dieser Risiken habe ich mich entschlossen einen kleinen Betrag von 50 € in Pizza Tower zu investieren.
Das Spiel ist noch recht neu und wir stehen am Anfang des "Schneeballsystems".
Außerdem finde ich es gut, dass die Auszahlung aus dem Spiel Teil des Investitionszyklus ist.
Das stellt sicher, dass dies früh getestet werden kann, und ich im laufenden Betrieb immer Geld zurück in die Wallet bekomme und jederzeit selbst entscheiden kann, was ich erneut ins Spiel investiere.
Bei 2% ROI habe ich nach ca. 50 Tagen (mit den Fees wohl eher 60 Tagen) meinen Einsatz wieder drin, wenn ich nichts reinvestiere.
Danach ist alles Reingewinn und passives Einkommen. Das Risiko bin ich bereit einzugehen.
Reinvestiere ich meine Einnahmen?
Morgen früh hätte ich genügend Bucks erwirtschaftet um diese in Coins zu tauschen, und damit Stockwerk 1 auf Level 3 auszubauen.
Ich werde aber wohl vorerst das Geld rausziehen und so mein Risiko reduzieren. Er wenn ein Großteil meiner Investition wieder ausgezahlt ist, werde ich neue Coins für den Ausbau meines Towers kaufen.
Dabei tausche ich nicht täglich meine Bucks in BNB, sondern werde es wöchentlich tun, um Fees zu sparen und gleichzeitig maximal 1 Woche an Einnahmen zu verlieren, wenn das Spiel vom Netz gehen sollte.
Was mindestens investieren?
Ich würde nicht mit weniger als 25 € einsteigen. Damit kann man etwas Rendite machen.
Wenn man aber den Einfluss der Fees deutlich reduzieren will sollte man etwa 125 € in BNB wandeln und 20.000 Coins kaufen.
Das reicht für die Stockwerke 1-4 und etwas BNB auf der hohen Kante für Gebühren.
Für meine 50 € habe ich mir 9.000 Coins gekauft und die Stockwerke 1-3 gekauft.
Stockwerk 1 und 2 habe ich jeweils einmal ausgebaut.
Das ist zwar weniger effizient als Stockwerk 4 zu kaufen, aber dafür hätte ich weitere 11.000 Coins erwirtschaften müssen und das dauert zu lange.
Bevor die Coins sinnlos rumliegen können sie besser auch arbeiten.
Why invest?
Despite these risks, I decided to invest a small amount of 50 € in Pizza Tower.
The game is still quite new and we are at the beginning of the "snowball system".
Also, I like the fact that the payout from the game is part of the investment cycle.
This ensures that this can be tested early on, and I can always get money back into the wallet while the game is running, and decide for myself at any time what to reinvest in the game.
At 2% ROI, I'll have my stake back in after about 50 days (probably more like 60 days with the fees) if I don't reinvest anything.
After that it's all net profit and passive income. I am willing to take the risk.
Do I reinvest my earnings?
Tomorrow morning I would have generated enough bucks to exchange them for coins, and use them to upgrade floor 1 to level 3.
I'll probably pull the money out for now though, and reduce my risk that way. Only when a large part of my investment is paid out again, I will buy new coins for the expansion of my tower.
In doing so, I won't exchange my bucks into BNB daily, but will do it weekly to save fees while losing a maximum of 1 week of revenue if the game goes off the grid.
What is the minimum investment?
I wouldn't get in with less than €25. With that you can make some return.
But if you want to significantly reduce the impact of the fees you should convert about 125 € in BNB and buy 20,000 coins.
That is enough for the floors 1-4 and some BNB on the high edge for fees.
For my 50 € I bought 9,000 Coins and bought floors 1-3.
I upgraded floor 1 and 2 once each.
That is less efficient than buying floor 4, but for that I would have had to earn another 11,000 Coins and that takes too long.
So before the coins lie around uselessly, they can better work.
