Social media is an intermediary between the real world and the virtual world. There are many activities that can be done using social media. even with the rapid development of the times, social media is widely used as a multi-functional tool. with social media, many users use this facility to see the activities of friends who are followed, see news, voice opinions, to use social media tools for business, the evolution of social media is very fast so that social media is a second home for cyber-fanatics with the world. real. In the millennial era like now, social media is a mandatory tool used by almost the entire world population, especially those who have internet facilities.

Social media provides various means for us to interact with users around the world there are several reasons I like social media. but here I mention two main reasons why I love social media so much. The first reason is because I can interact with users around the world and the second reason is that I can use social media for all aspects of real life.

The first thing I can say why I love social media is that I can interact with all social media users around the world. There's a lot to talk about with social media connoisseurs around the world. and, we can exchange information about what is going on and we can also exchange ideas about cultures around the world. the most important thing from the positive side of social media, we don't only have interaction friends limited to our country. but we can also interact with friends in all corners of the world. then we can also find out the latest information about technological developments that are happening at this time. Because the world is developing very rapidly, we are also very dependent on information disclosure. like today, where the world is being hit by a covid 19 outbreak. We must always know information about the development of the outbreak so that we can be on guard against bad possibilities that may occur in the future.

The next thing why I really like the development of social media is, I can take advantage of all aspects of social media that I can adapt to aspects of real life. There are many things that I can benefit from in social media, especially in terms of business product innovation. I can imitate some of the popular businesses that exist in the outside world and are not yet popular in my country. so that it will create new business innovations that exist and can be developed in my country. For example, a few years ago, boba drinks were very popular in foreign countries. Then thanks to the existence of social media, as well as the taste improvement that was created and suitable for the drink freaks in my country, now this drink is one of the popular drinks in my country. and many more innovative products that can be developed as examples from social media. therefore, the use of social media for all aspects of real life can be seen directly in the development of a modern era as we feel at this time.

Social media does have its own benefits for users, social media has also become a negative platform that is growing quite rapidly in this day and age. There are so many negative things on social media including: hate speech, fake news, cases of racism and many more negative sides on social media platforms. but I will describe the two main problems from the negative side of social media, namely the Hoax case and the case of racism.

Hoax, is one of the main aspects that is the bad side of social media. there are so many hoaxes circulating that cause misinformation from social media connoisseurs to cause division and bloodshed between each other. many people with evil intentions and certain interests to make a news that in the end can pit one against another. My personal opinion about the creators of the hoax is, maybe they are paying to create a hoax that will eventually make the news readers get lost in the information that is actually happening. as long as after writing the hoax news they get paid without thinking about what will happen in the future about the news they write. whether it's a clash between fellow social media users, to cause bloodshed. so be wise in choosing information, especially information that smells of divisions and clashes between fellow social media users.

The next negative thing that I hate the most about social media is the case of racism. From just and civilized humanity, which I learned noble from when I was in elementary school, until I was continuing my master's degree, humanity and equality were highly respected and always studied by us. That's why I really hate racism on social media. the case of racism for me is an atrocity and is condemned by all countries in the world. however, on social media platforms, there are a lot of racism speeches that occur both subtly and harshly. I consider people who do racism, do not deserve to live on earth. For me, racism is more than just trash on social media. they are one of the reasons why social media looks bad. I am reminded of a story about last year's euro final match where England faced Italy which in the end, the match had to be completed with a penalty shootout. At that time, cases of racism were very rampant when the last executioners, namely Marcus Rashford, Bakayo Saka and Jadon Sanco failed to execute the penalty that made Italy champions of Euro 2020. After the match, there were many cases of racism that occurred to the three star players. racism is growing all over the world. I really regret that. because, besides the star players, they are disappointed with the defeat they have experienced plus the racism that has befallen them. I hope that in the future cases of racism that have occurred will not be repeated in all aspects of existing life. because, just and civilized humanity must be upheld for every human in the world.
