Hello there. This week is another week for our weekly splinterlands battle challenge, and if you've been playing splinterlands for a while, you'll be familiar with DIEMONSHARK and SEA MONSTER, both of which have similar mana costs, high damage, and great tanking abilities, but who is considerably better? I'll share the outcome at the end of this post, and because this is a battle challenge for DIEMONSHARK, this post will also include the monster's basic stats, price, and my thoughts on it.

First, we have to know the story of DIEMONSHARK and according to the splinterlands lore; Diemonsharks travel alone throughout the stars searching for prey and territory. They are fearsome beasts with lightning-fast reflexes. Diemonsharks are extremely territorial and attack any creature that encroaches on their land. The Chaos Legion trains them as transports for equipment. Since they can travel by air, ground, or sea, they are ideally suited for the task.

DIEMONSHARK is a rare monster from the WATER SPLINTER that has multiple abilities which are TRAMPLE that is automatically available at level 1, ENRAGED which unlocked at level 4 and lastly RETALIATE which will be unlocked at level 7.

CARD PRICE

DIEMONSHARK is a rare monster from the CHAOS LEGION deck; the regular foil version gives 20 CP, while the gold foil version gives 500 CP.

A regular foil of this card is priced at $.044 at the time of writing, and it will require 25 bcx to get into level 4, for a total cost of $11, which also provides 500 CP.

The gold foil version of this card is automatically at level 2, and it takes 4 bcx to upgrade it to level 4, which costs $19.98 and provides 2000 CP.

This card can also be played without owning it by renting it, with a level 1 regular foil costing 0.575 DEC/Day and a level 4 costing 34.128 DEC/Day, while the gold foil version costs 26.122 DEC/Day and a level 4 gold foil costing 34.128.

WEAKNESS AND STRENGTHS

STRENGTHS, this is one of the most powerful tanks in the water splinter and a rare card that will not be limited in certain rulesets, his basic stats make him a great tank and damage dealer.

WEAKNESS of this monster is against monsters that deal magic damage; his armor is useless against them.

RULESET

The game had a low mana cap of 15 and has 2 rulesets which are EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY and TAKING SIDES . My strategy was to maximize my DIEMONSHARK speed and damage to destroy the frontline of the enemy and the BLAST damage from the ruleset will be able to damage the second position monster of the enemy at the same time.

SUMMONER

KELYA FRENDUL is the best for DIEMONSHARK because it boosts my monsters' offense and defense. These buffs make my DIEMONSHARK faster, allowing me to eliminate enemy monsters before they take their turn.

TANKS

DIEMONSHARK is the main character in this lineup; his basic stats alone would make him the main damage dealer and tank, and his abilities ENRAGE and TRAMPLE will make him even deadlier.

The TIDE BITER is the secondary tank due to its REFLECTION SHIELD ability, which negates the EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY ruleset.

ADDITIONAL MONSTER

HARDY STONEFISH is the final monster in my lineup and my backline defense; if the enemy goes for a SNEAK or OPPORTUNITY monster, he will take damage, buying time for my DIEMONSHARK to eliminate the enemy monsters.

The match is once again a KELYA vs KELYA battle, and the highlight of the game will be my DIEMONSHARK vs the opponents SEA MONSTER, a battle between the NEW and OLD eras.

ROUND 1

The first round was a test of our damage dealers, we trade damage and our monsters armors were depleted.

ROUND 2 & 3

In the second round, my DIEMONSHARK was hit by an enemy TIDE BITER, activating its ENRAGED ability, which increased my monster's speed and damage. And in the third round, because both of our first position monsters were low, and because my DIEMONSHARK was enraged, he was the first monster to take its turn and eliminated SEA MONSTER, which activated the TRAMPLE ability, which again removed the enemy TIDE BITER armor's, but he died in the final seconds of the third round.

ROUND 4 - 6

Even though the opponent have a monster advantage over me, I was still in advantage because of the damage DIEMONSHARK did and without the armor my TIDE BITER was able to finish of 2 of the enemy monsters ina single turn and winning the game in the fifth round.

AFTERTHOUGHTS

I enjoy playing DIEMONSHARK and utilize him whenever possible. His abilities can be accessed in the lower leagues, making him truly amazing, and he will be great even without any buffs from monsters or summoners.
The only regret I have in this match is that I did not include TORRENT FIEND in my lineup because I could have used him but did not, aside from that I am very happy with my lineup and will not change anything.
