Hive Ecosystem is like a fertile ground where you can grow your tomatoes, apple, rice, coconut, cocoa and tobacco; all in one large (boundless) piece of land. The beautiful thing about this piece of land is that it supports the growth of each crop; whether it is food crop or cash crop, and each crop readily supports the other without losing in its quality and "cropness."

Let me put it this way, Hive offers an endless possibilities for building, and it creates an enabling environment where different built projects can strive and support each other.

This is the reason why we hear of so many amazing projects being built on Hive; many are in the process of completion and many others are in the process of kicking off.

One of such amazing projects which was launched barely 3 to 4 days ago is: Veews.

I believe by now, many of us might have heard about something called Veews. In fact, there are so many gossip about what veews really is; someone told me that veews is a replacement of NFTs, another person said Bitcoin has chosen to adopt the name veews; and my closest friend on Hive told me that veews is hardfork 100 of Hive.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

I really don't know where people get their information from... (lol)

Please don't judge them, I don't want to call out their names. They know themselves... although merit.ahama is not included. (I know she must have felt as though I was talking to her, well don't tell her I said so).

☆ INTRODUCING VEEWS

Veews is a content discovery dApp on Hive, developed by @jongolson (The CTP Swarm).

"Content discovery?"

Let me make it easier for you to understand.

There is a new website or platform that was just launched by a community on Hive called The CTP Swarm.

This platform is called Veews and it is also built on Hive.

What this platform does is that when you START VEEWING, it shows you so many content that you didn't know exist on Hive, and it brings you closer to new and amazing authors. This implies that it also gives you an opportunity for your content to reach a large audience, unlike the normal community level.

You understand better, right?

I think I heard a YES.

☆ EXPLORING VEEWS

NB: For mobile users, using the Hive Keychain App is recommended.

When you click on veews.io or type it in the web search area, it takes you to the page below. At the top right corner, you can click on the Login icon.

It opens the option to input your hive username and login with Keychain.

This is why we recommend that you use the Keychain App for mobile device.

When you login with Keychain and confirm the login with your password, it brings you to the main dashboard of the Veews platform.

Here, you see your name and profile image; video to show you around the app, a button to START VEEWING; and a section for categories.

You can scroll down to select the categories or niches of content you would love to see, or you can click on START VEEWING and you will discover random content of different niches.

However, if you want specific niches, you can click on one or more of the categories below.

If your desired category is not in the list, you can include it by adding it manually.

After you have selected your preferred category and added others manually, you can now click START VEEWING.

THIS IS THE REAL DEAL!

THIS IS WHERE THE DISCOVERY HAPPENS!

It takes you to any post in any of the category you have selected. It has video option imbedded, which means you can watch youtube or 3speak videos also.

The 👍 and 👎 icons does not represent the traditional upvotes and downvotes system as peculiar to Hive. What it means is that you are telling the Artificial Intelligence (AI) running the system the you like or dislike such content.

If you like such content, the AI will try as much as possible to feed you with similar content, but if you dislike such content, the AI will also try not to put similar content for you next time.

Understood, right?

However, when you scroll down, you see something similar to what you find on Ecency, peakd, leofinance and other Hive frontends.

You can choose to upvote such content with your Hive voting power and you can also comment using the interface provided.

Thus, you can engage with authors from this frontend, as well.

When you click on the ❤️ button, it brings out the voting slider for you to decide the vote percentage to curate the content with.

By the side of the comment icon, there is a small icon. When you click on the icon, it shares that content to Leothreads. You know that Leothreads is a microblogging platform where you can share your short posts, images and whatever you want.

By clicking on the icon above, it brings you this pop up message, where you can add few more words to your short post (if you choose to), and once you click on it and approve it... it will be automatically published on leothreads.

You can see it below, right?

Exactly!

That is the beauty of Hive; so many dApps can work hand in hand, and smoothen your experience of content discovery and creation.

Remember, sharing via leothreads is only optional!

However, if you do not intend to do so, you can scroll up and click NEXT to move to the next content.

When you click Next, it takes you to another content within the selected category or niche you have chosen.

Thus, it exposes you to varieties of content, and allows you to meet new authors.

You should try it out, you know?

Content discovery platform on Hive is a big win for everyone of us. It allows our content to be seen by wider audience.

Thus, it encourages us to give the best delivery in every content we publish. I know you wouldn't wish to be popular as a hivian with low-quality content, right?

So, give your best!

Also, remember that Veews is in its Beta stage so if you encounter any challenge, feel free to inform them. This will help the developers to improve the performance and user experience.
