For those who are just hearing about LPUD for the first time...

Imagine a world-class event where dignitaries and individuals from high social classes come together to enjoy a delicious, fresh pizza. And, you know, I am the main celebrant of the event... Oh, crap! That was my imagination playing chess with my brain “again”!

For those who are just hearing about LPUD for the first time...

Leo Power Up Day (LPUD) is a day set aside by the Leo-Finance Community dedicated to Powering Up or Staking $Leo Tokens.

Don’t get this twisted!

You are free to power up or stake your Leo Tokens every second, minute, hour, day or week. However, the community has decided to make this staking experience Fun, incentivized and community-driven. That is why on the 15th day of every month, the community sets this day aside to gather together in celebration of this special event.

☆ F^^K OFF! HOW IS THIS IMPORTANT?

Like I have always expressed with my cute voice, the LPUD event is important, significant, special and beneficial to the Leo Community, on the one hand, and the Lions, Cubs and Newlions who participate in this amazing event, on the other hand.

For the former, it unequivocally demonstrates the community's unity, participation, and support in achieving the Leofinance project's desired purpose. Thus, Powering Up our LEO tokens is a clear indication that we (Lions, Cubs and Newlions) are interested in and supportive of the Leofinance Projects.

For the latter, when you power up your Leo Tokens, you have a higher LEO stake and with this you can give out higher upvotes and earn higher curation rewards. It also grants you the privilege to delegate to amazing delegation service like @leo.voter, @hodlcommunity and @india-leo, and earn APR on your delegations.

With the amazing mouth watering incentives added to this Community event...naaaa! You can't afford to miss it!

Did you know that the LPUD event only began in the month of April? So, you are still early if you haven't participated in it yet.

☆ YO! SAY SOMETHING BRIEF ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE SO FAR

Well, you know I began my journey in the Leoverse with my first leofinance post on May 10, 2022. Since then, I have been trying my little best to fit myself into the community.

However, with the #threadstorm contest I participated in, I got to win some Leo Tokens. With these Leo tokens, together with others gotten from my participation in India-leo contest and some that I bought on Leodex.io, I participated in the August edition of the LPUD, and that was obviously my first time participating in the LPUD event.

Staking up my Leo tokens increased my Leo Power and the value of Leo upvotes I can make. This has also increased the amount of curation reward I get when I curate amazing Leo posts and threads. In the same way, I have comfortably delegated Leo tokens to @india-leo, @hodlcommunity and @psyberx. And I earn Leo rewards from the first two.

My participation this month was quite astounding! I crossed the 2k Leo benchmark. In other words, I am a proud owner of 2k staked LEO. It isn't easy, you know!

And guess what? I also won 2k Leo Delegation! Which means, I was part of those who won the suuweet (sweet) incentives of the LPUD contest for the month of November.

Amazing, right?

Wait a second, you mean today?

Well, just like I said earlier, you are free to stake up your LEO tokens any day and anytime. However, if you intend to participate in the Community event, then keep on stacking your LEO tokens and get ready for the LPUD December edition.

But, I need to warn you!

For this month's edition, the Dragons attacked the Lion's Den, and those who slew the Elite and Elder Dragons by powering up 2k+ and 5k+ Leo tokens respectively, received amazing rewards.

Just get ready to defend the Lion's Den at always!

☆ INTERESTING! DO YOU WISH YOU CAN ADD A GREAT FEATURE TO THIS AMAZING LPUD EVENT?

I don't think I am qualified.

I could only slay few lizards, wall geckos and some other smaller reptiles in the last LPUD. But, if I may contribute from my little knowledge, this is what I'd say:

SPECIAL APPRECIATION

The organizing team of the LPUD is doing an impressive job. Although I didn't join the event from the very first month, but the few months I have participated was fun.

The need to make more Lions and Cubs participate in the LPUD has always been the focus of the team.

In the month of September, the @hivebuzz badge was introduced to the event, and this badge was awarded to every one who participated in the LPUD event for September. Those who participated in October and November also got their badges.

shhhhh! I heard that those who get more badges will be eligible to use it in a HUGE event coming up in 2023. Don't say I told you, but I got the information here

This month's edition of LPUD was also fun with the storyline introduced to motivate Lions to slay dragons by powering up their LEO tokens.

MY RECOMMENDATIONS

Story Line

The newly added feature of Storyline is a great one. I don't know if it is a one time package, but I'd suggest if it can be done bimonthly or Quarterly. This is to make it less common. However, monthly could be considered, but it should have different perspectives or focus points.

Leo Requirement

At first, the required Leo Tokens needed for the LPUD was 200 Leo. However, this was reduced to 150 Leo at some point.

Honestly, looking at it objectively, 150 Leo Tokens is quite small for some people; okay for other people; yet too high for genuine people who'd love to participate in the event but don't have enough Leo Tokens.

Some of us are active on different communities and niches on Hive, such that even if we write a post daily, we may only write 1-3 Leo/financial related posts in a Week.

With this, those who rely on their author reward for LPUD may have a hard time getting the required tokens.

However, I am not saying we should lower the bar to 10.... 100 Leo Tokens may not be a bad idea.

Incoporating Threads

From the information in the reward announcement post, we were told that 140 Lions joined this edition.

Wow!

If these amazing 140 Lions had also put out some Threads about their LPUD activity, remark or something, I think Threads will be on lockdown for the whole week.

So I suggest that Lions be strongly motivated to make, at least, a thread about their LPUD activities.

Use of NFTs

Some thoughts just popped up in my head right now... hehe

• 5 LPUD hivebuzz badges could be combined to mint a Leo NFT.
• The Leo NFT could serve as the pass for the upcoming Huge Leo event, and it could also yield/Farm some Leo/cub token reward for the owners of the NFTs.
• The higher the rarity, the higher the reward.

NB: While common NFTs would be the combination of 5 or more LPUD badges, rare or legendary NFTs will be the NFTs won via events like Slaying the Dragon. Other use cases can also be added.

☆ WHAT ARE THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES OF LPUD EVENT?

Strengths

The LPUD is an amazing event, and from the record of the reward announcement post, we can see that more LIONS are powering up LEO and Adding Value to the Leo Tokens.

Weaknesses

In as much as I would avoid saying that the LPUD event is perfect without mistakes, I believe it is a project that is open to growth, more ideas and sweet incentives.

However, at the present moment I can't think of any Weaknesses in the LPUD event.
