Howdy y'all

Good afternoon, frens. I hope you find yourself well on this fine Tuesday. The weather is nice and calm. It feels great so I might get out and go to a park. I'm still feeling a little under the weather with a cough but some outdoor time is always good. As you can tell I took a bit of a break from crypto stuff the past couple days because it can be overwhelming and hard to keep up with. I shifted my focus a little bit to 3D printing and getting some videos on 3Speak. Today, I have some pretty awesome news I'd like to share. I just happened to stumble upon it on Twitter so I had to share some thoughts while it was fresh on my mind. I'm also going to be disassembling my 3D printer to install some upgrades I printed so I'll have a post on that later.

Coinbase NFT

So there is very little information currently available, but Coinbase is launch an NFT platform called Coinbase NFT. Not really surprising as NFTs have become a hot topic in the past few months and Binance launched their own platform as well. I have been expecting some kind of news like this so it's nice to see them diving into what's hot. Coinbase has over 70 million users and they're all about get exposure to NFTs. Of course there are a ton of NFT platforms and marketplaces, but none of them have the mainstream userbase that CB has built over the past few years. Right now, you can join the waitlist to get early access to the platform so I did. They also have a referral system to improve your rank on the waitlist so feel free to use my link shown in the picture below.

I have so many questions and the FAQ doesn't answer any of them.

I'm sure a lot of people are wondering some of the same things like... Which blockchains will be supported? Well, all we know right now is that Ethereum is the blockchain that will be supported at launch. They have said also that they will "eventually add multi-chain support". They would be very dumb to overlook other blockchains because in reality, a lot of their users either A) can't afford to use Ethereum because of gas fees, or B) don't like paying gas fees at all. Without multi-chain support, this is basically just OpenSea all over again with CB branding. Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Solana, Harmony, Tezos.... the list goes on for the different blockchains that could be integrated but we will have to wait and see. My next question would be: will Coinbase NFT be integrated into the regular Coinbase app? I assume the answer to this question is yes, because it would be dumb to have a whole separate app or website just for NFTs. The Coinbase app is one of the most popular apps in the world, and it just makes sense to build it right into the platform. Another question would be... What will Coinbase do, if anything, to fight high gas fees on Ethereum? Will they have a way to cover gas or will they make the user eat it?

Coinbase NFT could be the NFT marketplace to rule them all.
