Crypto Noobs #17 - How to Buy CUB Right Inside Metamask

Welcome back to Crypto Noobs!

It's the most popular crypto educational series on Hive! Not really, but we like to have fun here. I'm just a regular dude on the internet that's obsessed with crypto and I like to teach people how to do shit with it. In the last episode, I broke down some NFT lingo for dummies so you can understand those tweets from your favorite influencer. Today, we're gunna be using Metamask to get our hands on some good ole CUB.

Metamask Swap

If you follow me or use LeoFinance at all, you're probably aware that we are going to be getting an airdrop based off our CUB holdings on Cub Finance. This has lead me to move more of my portfolio over there to maximize my airdrop. I discovered BSCswap just recently and this made acquiring CUB easier for me. Check out that post to learn how to swap HIVE for BNB instantly. Once we have BNB in our wallet on Metamask, we can use the internal swap feature to get CUB. This is also somethin that could qualify you for the rumored Metamask airdrop for wallets that use the swap feature. Just a rumor but safe to use it at least once on a couple wallets just in case.

When you click the Swap button, you're met with 2 drop down menus that may feel familiar if you've ever used a swap style exchange or a DEX. I selected BNB for the Swap from and searched CUB for the Swap to. To my surprise, CUB came up at the top of the list. Super convenient!

Enter the amount of BNB and it will calculate the amount of CUB you will receive after you set your slippage tolerance. I always set my slippage tolerance to 2% or less because that basically means you could lose up to that percentage due to price fluctuations. Click review swap after you set slippage. You'll be given the estimate minus the 0.875% Metamask fee and gas fee. Then confirm.

Once you confirm, the transaction should only take a few seconds. Binance Smart Chain is pretty quick and the fees are fairly low at the moment. Bam! CUB acquired.

Now you have your CUB and you're ready to stake in Kingdoms for 46% APY. This will ensure you get an airdrop of PolyCUB as well! Hopefully Metamask will announce an airdrop too and you'll qualify for that as well. I hope you enjoyed and I hope you learned something new today.
