Tutorial: ¿Cómo elaborar un Pollito Navideño? Un tierno juguete para los niños🐥./ Eng: Tutorial: How to make a Christmas Chick? A sweet toy for children🐥.

¡Hola Hivers Creativos!

Hello Creative Hivers!

On this occasion I want to present an ideal option to give children at Christmas because:

What child doesn't love sweet and cuddly chicks?

Sometimes it happens that we have many little nephews or cousins, and there is always that desire to give them a gift at Christmas. Therefore, today I show you how I made this little Christmas chick that is ideal to be used as a toy by children. It is inexpensive to make, easy to make and it is very cool. In my case, I have decorated it with a pretty satin ribbon bow and a Christmas hat. But you can personalize it to your liking, perhaps with some details that are coupled with the tastes of the boy or girl to whom you will give it.

How to make a Christmas Chick.png

Christmas is upon us, in some places they usually meet on December 24 in family mode and distribute some presents or gifts. The option of making the Christmas Chick is super cute, plus it must be fun to make them in different colors and details, which the children will surely love. To add a better presentation, you could place the Chick inside a box decorated with a bow.

chick2.jpg

I tell you that to make this Chick I have not had to learn any major skills, since it is assembled based on pompoms made with yarn. For the details of the legs and beak, a spectacularly simple knotting technique that is based on knot over knot. NO NEEDLES, NO SEAM!

chick3.jpg

The Thinker Chick, they call it 🤣

image.png

Materials:

  • 2 rolls of yellow worsted yarn (10GR).
  • 1/2 roll of orange worsted yarn (5GR).
  • Bow or satin ribbon bow.
  • A pair of white pearls.
  • Black marker.
  • Silicon/silicon gun.
  • Christmas hat in foami or fabric.
  • Scissors.

mater.jpg

How to do it?

  • On our fingers, specifically 3 of them (index, middle, ring) we will wind 110 turns of yellow yarn. Carefully and trying to keep the laps intact, we disengage from the fingers. With an extra piece of yarn, we pass behind the loops and tie in the middle.

Untitled design.png

Untitled layout (1).png

  • By having the middle well attached, with the help of scissors we cut the ends of the laps. Leaving us a kind of disheveled Pompon.

Untitled layout (2).png

  • Now, we will become the Scissorhands Man and with it, we will match the threads cutting until we form a tender Pompom. We will repeat the steps again to form another pompom, but we will change the number of rows, in this case we will use 125 rows. We will now have two pompoms, one for the head and one for the body.

Untitled layout (3).png

  • With hot silicone and the gun, we locate and fix the union of the head with the body.

Untitled layout (4).png

  • Now, we will make the chicken legs. Where, for each toe of the paw we cut a couple of threads, approximately 12 centimeters. We will make a knot, which we will locate exactly in the middle and on this, we will make about 5 more knots. Thus, we form a finger. We repeat the process 6 times, because each leg must have 3 little fingers. When we have it ready, we take 3 of the fingers, join with a couple of central and tight knots. We repeat the process for the other leg.

Untitled layout (5).png

Untitled layout (6).png

  • We cut the excess thread. With hot silicone we fix the legs in their proper place. They are so cute...

Untitled layout (8).png

  • We will make the beak, where we repeat the steps we used to make the fingers. But in this case only once. We cut the excess thread and fix it in the center of the face with the help of silicone. At the same time, we will fix the pair of pearls that will pretend to be the chicken's eyes. With a marker we will draw the pupils.

Untitled layout (9).png

  • We will make a bow with a piece of satin ribbon and place a decorative pearl in the middle. On the other hand, we will make a little hat or perhaps we have it available from a broken doll from the Christmas tree. We fix both the bow and the hat with silicone.
