Some parents worry when their children play in the rain. Rainy weather is natural, just like sunny, cloudy, windy, and snowy. Everything that comes from nature is not dangerous naturally.
Indonesia is a tropical country. There are only two seasons in a year. They are the dry season and the rainy season. In the rainy season, it rains almost every day.
Children like to play in the rain . Some parents prohibit their children from playing in the rain. They have reasons to believe that their children will get the flu, catch a cold or get sick after playing in the rain.

In this belief, I do not agree with some parents that prohibit their children from playing in the rain.

Can rain cause flu ?

In the rainy season, the weather is cooler than in the dry season. The influenza virus spreads faster in cold weather and in the rainy season. For this reason, parents often worry about their children playing in the rain.

Children in good health conditions have high immunity. Playing in the rain will not harm them. Parents should supervise their kids when playing in the rain. When the children feel cold, they should stop playing in the rain. They should bathe with shampoo and soap.

Doctors also warn parents not to let children who have congenital diseases play in the rain. Children with cold allergies or skin diseases when exposed to water for too long are also prohibited from playing in the rain.

Benefits of playing in rain for kids

Playing in rain is safe in general. If your children are free from those notes above, why don't you let them have fun in the rain.

  Those are the benefits of playing in the rain for children. Children will have experience of playing in nature. They will also be trained to deal with problems when they are faced with unfriendly weather.
