The second wave of the pandemic has hit the UK harder than most countries around them. The changing nature of the virus has made it almost impossible to contain it.

Due to the large outbreak in Uk, Many countries have either suspended or completely ban movement from Uk to their country. This travel ban from Uk will affect many things, football included.

The champions league has been one of the best football competitions around and the reason is due to a dynamic clash of styles it offers. Europa is the second tier of the competition.

Seven UK teams are currently contesting in the competition and that begs the question of whether the travel bans will also affect them.

The rules of the competition had to be bent last season to a single leg due to the Pandemic. The competition has always been a double leg game (home and away) aside from the Final match.

With this Travel ban, it's unclear if the UK teams still in the competition will be able to participate.

The only good news is that the competition is scheduled to resume in February and March respectively. That offers a glimpse of hope as the virus might have been contained before the competition resumption.

The knockout stage of the competition starts in February, with Liverpool being the first UK team that will be playing. The full list of match schedules for the UK teams in competition could be found below
