When rain pours, we see reflections all around

This is my entry to Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 86 🍁 Announcement! by @olgavita. Head on to that post and see the rules/guidelines to follow if you want to enter this contest.

I took this at the park on my morning walk last week. It was the only photo I was able to capture that time. I don't know if you can see the guy in yellow behind the bushes. I initially planned on capturing the reflection of that guy and his companion walking ahead of me hoping to capture them and their reflection on the water.

By the time I whipped out my phone and tried to compose my photo, it was too late. They were already at top of the stairs and turned the corner.

That's why I just took this photo and continued on my way. When I edited this with #Snapseed, it turned out okay so I decided to share it here. There were no other reflections that I found interesting along the way during my walk at that time. I hope I'll get to see more interesting ones this weekend.

This path was just beside the lake exiting towards the biking area and the children's park ahead. To the left are more biking areas, skating area and still further beyond is the athletic bowl.

We still experience rainy days especially in the afternoons that's why there are lots of puddles everywhere, opportunities to take reflection photos just like this one.

This was one weekend at the mall when I met with a dear friend who I haven't seen in years - almost a decade went by since our last. It was a stormy day that day at the mall that I thought they will not push through with their plan of coming to the city but my friend and family came so I met with them at the mall. They have come all the way from another province.

This particular mall while it does look nice on a good day, the roof was not designed for tropical weather because every now and then when heavy rains or storms happen, the topmost floor is flooded and water cascades down to the lower levels. In fact, there were times they had to close the mall because of flooding.

This photo was taken at the top level.

Note only getting wet is the concern here but also the wind. A staff of this business was using the post as shield from the elements.

I didn't notice her right away when I was taking this photo because I was aiming for the reflection of the neon light. Only when my eyes adjusted to the light did I see her there. Maybe the light gave off some heat and the lady took advantage of that to keep her warm. She had a jacket on but that was not enough to keep her warm.

So there goes my reflection post for this week. I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead of you. Stay safe wherever you are.
