Introduction

No one ever thinks of death as something nice; it's usually terrifying for normal people. Imagine walking into a dark room without knowing what you'll find there; you'll probably be terrified even if you don't fear darkness; it's primarily about the unknown things inside, might be nothing, but your brain will probably expect the worst.

The secret to overcoming the terror

With so many various faiths in the world, the ones that discuss the hereafter are numerous and varied, so who knows which one is speaking the truth? Even if they have certain parallels, there will always be something different, either about heaven or about hell. Most people will not bother thinking about it unless they have a strong feeling that their death is approaching, or unless they are reading something about it, in which case they will reflect on their lives and most likely begin overthinking about what if they go to hell, what will it be like, and will they really be stuck there for an unknown period of time, and somehow they will expect the worst again.

Many people overthink when it's about death, which makes it even scarier in their minds, even though they don't know what it's like, and no one does, but they think about it that way because when someone close to us dies, the sadness will always be in the air for some time, or they are afraid to leave this life and want to stay here forever even though they know it's impossible, no one lives forever, but actually there is a way, might make it way less scary than it seems like and you will live forever too!

Living this life with no goal, or working only on yourself so you will enjoy what you have of time on earth and leave isn't an achievement at all, since you know that you will die anyway, leave something behind you, that may keep you alive in people's heart and brains, influence people, or help others and get them out of the mud, so those people will always remember you, that may keep you alive forever with everyone you helped or at least make your presence in their life something remarkable.

In the end

You may have a good memory of yourself for others that makes you feel comfortable when death comes; you know you've done enough, you can achieve your own goals without forgetting about other people on earth, no matter where they come from, you'll share humanity bonds with them which you can't deny. Everything you do will sooner or later be reflected on you, therefore leave a good memory.
