Introducing Hivestats V3 | Featured Content, New Price Displays, APY Opportunities & HBD Implementation

Merry Christmas 🦁 we have a little Christmas surprise planned for the community. We just released Hivestats V3 into production.

With so many incredible app releases and updates coming in 2022, it's a great time to slip in an update to an old app that deserves some much needed attention.

In the latest update we've implemented a number of massive improvements to the backend. Some APIs needed a major round of attention and those have been addressed.

We've also added some Node updates to make the site smoother. A few other backend improvements to reduce the browser load by about 10x, making for a much faster and enjoyable UX with Hivestats.io.

Featured Content

We added a tab at the top to display top content from https://leofinance.io. The mission of Hivestats.io is to service the Hive community and bring deep analytics to everyone on the Hive blockchain. By doing this, we also aim to drive traffic and attention to LeoFinance applications and contnet.

One of the most requested Hivestats features was a module like this. We're really happy with how it turned out.

New Wallet and APY Opportunities

In the current release, there are some new wallet displays showing the HIVE, HBD, LEO and CUB prices.

We've also added 2 modules to display the current APY for staking LEO (as blEO-BNB in the https://cubdefi.com/farms vault) and staking CUB (as CUB in the CUB Kingdom).

What's Next for Hivestats?

We wanted to get this initial release of V3 out for Christmas. In the next updates, we'll deploy many of the backend improvements. One of the next major display updates will feature an "Opportunities Tab" for various staking opportunities on the Hive blockchain. Namely, HBD savings which have recently been updated to a 12% APY.

We're adding HBD toggles and displays to the Wallet, Rewards, Analytics and new Opportunities displays to help everyone take advantage of all the new opportunities that are available today and in the future on the Hive blockchain.

What Would You Like to See on Hivestats?

We'll put out a more official post later but if you have any suggestions to improve Hivestats or new feature requests, drop them in the comments below! We'll be prepping the roadmap for Hivestats V4 in the coming weeks.

With our expanded Dev team, we're able to tackle a lot of our existing apps alongside the new apps we're building simultaneously.. as we continue to expand the whole team, the updates will be relentless - as LeoFinance has proven many times over.

We're excited to take the leap into 2022 with many of our DeFi apps, LeoMobile, Hivestats and LeoFinance.io updates. It's going to be a big year!

Looks great. I would like to be able to go to this page and accept rewards. For example, the wallet here shows I have X leo tokens but does not allow me to stake or unstake. If I can stake and unstake, transfer and perform all coin related activities here, that would be awesome. That would give this page a function as well. I am envisioning zapper like page.

Great to see HiveStats being reshaped and getting new features. Having links between all Leo Finance apps creates an adhesive ecosystem and allows easy navigation for any new or existing user.

I've always been curious on what "staking USD" is...

it would be great to see all our Leo LP's (cubdefi, tribal dex). Maybe a stat to reflect our earnings from delegation ...

i didn't even know that Hive Stats existed prior to this post. It's a nice one stop shop for all sorts of useful information.

One of the next major display updates will feature an "Opportunities Tab" for various staking opportunities on the Hive blockchain.

i am particularly looking forward to this planned feature. There is soooo much happening on Hive that it's difficult to keep track of all the opportunities.

I really liked the new version, especially Featured Post on Leofinance. New wallet display addition is good. I want to suggest team Leofinance if possible please add Price feeds of Top Hive Engine Tokens too that would be great help. Thank you so much for bringing the best apps. 😊👍 !PIZZA

Congrats @leofinance team for an awesome Christmas gift. I noticed it instantly yesterday before the official announcement happen.
The featured post on #hivestats.io homepage allow users to know the ongoing happening things on #leofinance ...awesome interface to begin with. Hope to see more upcoming development in 2022....

Personally so far so good...but i belive there is missing interest rate on user wallet...like hbd 12% and hp 2.9%....its not mentioned on the wallet snapshot....I guess before the next release mentioning them on the #hivesaving would keepnuswrs uptodate.
Mentioning them would help user to keep a track of their wallet in proper way and other also get influenced. ..just a wild suggestion.....I know there is new tab lined up for this in next release but just to mention them as it was appearing on other front-end.

This is one of my favorite apps on Hive. I’m so happy to see it getting some attention. Sounds like a lot more is going to be happening. Awesome to see the team growing!

Brilliant, love a good stats dashboard like this. I've a few other ideas that could be handy.

  1. Under the 'Analytics' tab there is we've got a upvotes, perhaps it would be good to add downvotes and an upvote/downvote ratio?
  2. Similarly, for the comments section perhaps it would be good to pull the comments made as well as comments received. (it could also be interesting to have some sort of engagement ratio here) also there may be a way of removing known auto comments (like posh for example) from the counts as these skew the data somewhat
  3. Perhaps as well we should add counts of upvotes/downvotes given as well as received, this would be another nice indicator of engagement along with the comments
  4. When looking at the last 30 days I wonder if it could be meaningful to provide more descriptive statistics (mean, std deviation, median, min/max) over the 7 and 30 days these could
  5. Finally, as well as the user specific stats that we have now it could be useful to be able to enter a tag maybe instead of a user ID at the start. This could give us some interesting google trends-like data for savvy authors to dive into. Say for example if they can look into #leofinance and then see a summary of things like:
    • Average posts per day
    • Comments/engagement ratings
    • Voting information
    • Biggest supporters
    • Most commonly (top 5) linked tags
  6. Same as 5 but perhaps for HiveEngine tokens, a landing page for each of these with holders/active use/associated posts etc.. would be kinda cool (good way to get a high-level tokenomics overviews).

On a side note I am happy to help chat ideas with whomever is responsible for the development, data analytics is my fiat mining day job! Keep up the excellent work team!

Most people in crypto looks for passive income like 16% APR with delegation to @leo.voter so this Opportunities Tab would attract many people to Hive and Leo!

Amazing development there.

Question?

It seems that the Hive-engine rewards part of hivestats.io does not track all hive-engine tokens presently.

The above screenshot is my SPORTS curation alt that makes about $40 weekly as curation earnings but it's not reflecting. Same with other tokens like ONEUP and others. Please what could be the cause. It was not so in the beginning.
