How I met Hive // My Pre hive story challenge

Hello Hivers in this awesome commuinty. I trust we are all doing great and enjoying our blogging experiences.

Just fews days ago I came across this challenge; How I met Hive, where we get to share story about how we came across this blockchain and so I decided to join and share my own part of the story. How did you hear about Hive?

I got to know about hive months ago when I knew steemit. I got so engrossed with steemit and was exploring the platform not until I read about the fork that happened which brought about Hive. I was curious but the curiosity didn't linger for so long in my mind before I discarded it and that's because I was just getting to understand steemit and didn't want to add another headache to the one I think I already have. It was quite alot because there was not solid hand to help me find my way unlike hive that has ravished my heart with love

Who first told you about Hive?

Well before my discovery,a very good friend of mine @opopa mentioned Hive to me,but i wasn't serious about it. I didn't believe I will do so well here,the thought of building a life here is not what I really wanted to entertain,so I delayed my coming to Hive. Today I only have a little bit of regret because I didn't joined when I heard about it. Am only consoled because I feel welcomed here and the love here is like that of a family and this makes me feel I can cover the grounds that I've once lost to time.

Did they tell you how to sign up?

Well I figured out how to sign up myself. Although it was a bit difficult as I was presented with option to pick from i.e eccency, Hive.blog, peakd etc. I was kinda confused but I ended up signing up anyways and it has been fun and fulfilling ever since.

What did you think when they told you about Hive?

Well when I was first told about Hive I didn't believe it has more potential of growing and flourishing or even meeting my expectations. Hive was still very small in value when it was introduced to me. I wasn't seeing it potential to grow and that caused the delay I had before signing up

What was your motivation for joining Hive?

There was something I found interesting here which is unlike other platforms I've explored and that is the engagement activities,Support and the way people relate here which makes me think there were some kind of Family ties here..I've been exploring the Hive blockchain even before I finally signed up and that is because I wanted to really know what I was getting into. So when I found out it a lovely place to be,I signed up. We are indeed family here on hive although not by blood but our action shows it.

Did you know what you would do in Hive?

Well I didn't know any other thing to do here on hive than to blog and join others in what they are doing here. I later found out from exploring daily that there is really a whole lot to do on this platform which is way beyond just writing content like every other person does.

Did you find Hive difficult?

Well I did at first and that because I didn't really know what to do,I thought it all about blogging and writing but to my utmost surprise it was way beyond that,as I needed to engage and relate with other. I disappeared 2 month after I signed up as a result of the difficulty I faced,I couldn't keep up with the activity,I didn't know anyone,there was no form of support not until I came back after 2 months and met someone I consider a mentor who help me up to this point and am glad things are now a litte better.

Did you believe what you were told about Hive?

Well I didn't believe at first because I was sceptical. It's a path I've never threaded before so it was difficult for me to swallow all I was told hook,line and sinker but as time went by,I got to understand better and love the hive blockchain like never before. I will say am in love with this platform.
