One of the most highly awaited implementations by all Splinterlands players, myself included, is the implementation of lands that will add a new layer to the game dynamics of Splinterlands.

A few hours ago Splinterlands released the Whitepaper of the first playable phase of lands (The Secret of Praetoria) which you can read at the following link: https://splinterlands.gitbook.io/the-secret-of-praetoria/.

I did a relatively quick first read of the Whitepaper and will do a more in-depth reading tomorrow.
I decided to publish a post right away to inform my readers of the publication of the whitepaper and to share some of my initial thoughts and assessments on some of the probable effects of lands on the value of some Splinterlands assets (NFTs and tokens)**.

The plots will total 150000 and will have different rarities like the Splinterlands cards:

• Common Plot
• Rare Plot
• Epic Plot
• Legendary Plot

Each plot will have a specific terrain type among 14 possible types.
For every 1000 plots there will be 1 only plot that will contain a castle and there will be only 9 plots that will contain the other type of building (Keep building).
In the other plots there will be no buildings but players will be able to create them.

By the end of Q1 2023 players will be able to find out all the information about their plots (rarity, content, ...).

There would be so many points in the whitepaper to go into but in this post I want to focus only on some possible effects that the implementation of lands could have on the value of some assets in Splinterlands:

• the cards
• the DEC tokens**

Staking Cards

With lands cards will acquire a new use case because in each plot it will be possible to staking 5 cards.

The staking of cards will be necessary:

• to build the constructions
• to produce resources which only in phase 1.5 will be the same for all plots.

The type of cards will produce greater speed in producing resources and greater speed in constructing buildings, speed that will depend on Production Points.

Cards from older editions will produce higher multipliers as you can see from the screenshot below.

The first effect that the implementation of lands might produce is a greater demand for cards = probable increase in the market value of cards.

But not all cards will be appropriate for a plot because depending on the terrain type of a plot the cards could bring a bonus or a penalty based on their element.

Although it is not yet possible to know the information about one's plots moving in advance by buying/powering cards now that will be very useful as land workers might be a winning strategy because their prices might go up in the future ;)

The probability that lands will produce a general increase in the value of cards is there but of course this is just my personal prediction and not financial advice.

Staking DEC

In addition to cards, DEC tokens will also play an important role in lands!

This means that if you are stacking 5 maximum level cards in a plot, you will have to stack 50K DEC if you want to have 100% production.
If, for example, you will only staking half, 25K DEC, you will get 50% production over the maximum possible.

Final Considerations

Phase 1 of the Lands of Praetoria will introduce many changes to the game dynamics, will expand the viable investment strategies, and in my opinion will also increase the fun.

The whitepaper is very extensive and I have only considered a small part of it in this post.
Cards and DEC tokens will play a major role on Praetoria, and when an NFT or token acquires new use cases, often what also increases is its value...

Una prima lettura del Whitepaper delle Lands di Splinterlands e alcune prime considerazioni...

Una delle implementazioni più attese da tutti i giocatori di Splinterlands, me compreso, è l'implementazione delle lands che aggiungerà un nuovo livello alle dinamiche di gioco di Splinterlands.

Poche ore fa Splinterlands ha pubblicato il Whitepaper della prima fase giocabile delle lands (The Secret of Praetoria) che puoi leggere al seguente link: https://splinterlands.gitbook.io/the-secret-of-praetoria/.

Ho fatto una prima lettura abbastanza veloce del Whitepaper e domani farò una lettura più approfondita.
Ho deciso di pubblicare subito un post per informare i miei lettori della pubblicazione del whitepaper e per condividere alcune mie considerazioni e valutazioni iniziali su quelli che potrebbero essere gli effetti delle lands sul valore di alcuni assets di Splinterlands (NFTs e tokens).

I plots saranno in totale 150000 e avranno rarità diverse come le carte di Splinterlands:

• Plot Comune
• Plot Raro
• Plot Epico
• Plot Leggendario

Ogni plot avrà una precisa tipologia di terreno tra 14 tipi possibili.
Ogni 1000 plots ci sarà 1 solo plot che conterrà un castello e ci saranno solo 9 plots che conterranno l'altra tipologia di costruzione (Keep building).
Negli altri plots non ci saranno costruzioni ma i giocatori potranno crearle.

Entro la fine del Q1 2023 i giocatori potranno scoprire tutte le informazioni sui propri plot (rarità, contenuto, ...).

Ci sarebbero tanti punti del whitepaper da approfondire ma in questo post voglio focalizzarmi solo su alcuni possibili effetti che l'implementazione delle land potrebbe avere sul valore di alcuni assets di Splinterlands:

• le carte
• i token DEC

Staking Cards

Con le lands le carte acquisteranno un nuovo caso d'uso perchè in ogni plot sarà possibile mettere in staking 5 carte.

Lo staking delle carte sarà necessario:

• per costruire le costruzioni
• per produrre le risorse che solo nella fase 1.5 saranno uguali per tutti i plots.

La tipologia delle carte produrrà una maggiore velocità nel produrre risorse e una maggiore velocità nel costruire edifici, velocità che dipenderà dai Production Points.

Le carte delle edizioni più vecchie produrranno dei multipliers maggiori come puoi vedere dallo screenshot seguente.

Il primo effetto che potrebbe produrre l'implementazione delle lands è una maggiore richiesta di carte = aumento del valore di mercato delle carte.

Ma non tutte le carte saranno adatte ad un plot perchè in base alla tipologia del terreno di un plot le carte potrebbero portare un bonus o una penalità in base al loro elemento.

Anche se non è ancora possibile conoscere le informazioni sui propri plots muoversi in anticipo acquistando/potenziando subito le carte che saranno molto utili come land workers potrebbe essere una strategia vincente perchè i loro prezzi potrebbero salire in futuro ;)

La probabilità che le lands producano un aumento generale del valore delle carte c'è ma ovviamente è solo una mia personale previsione e non è un consiglio finanziario.

Staking DEC

Oltre alle carte anche i token DEC avranno un ruolo importante nelle lands!

Questo vuol dire che se in un plot metterai in staking 5 carte di massimo livello dovrai mettere in staking 50K DEC se vorrai avere il 100% di produzione.
Se ad esempio metterai in staking solo la metà, 25K DEC, otterrai una produzione del 50% rispetto alla massima possibile.

Considerazioni Finali

La fase 1 dell'implementazione delle Lands di Splinterlands apporterà molte modifiche alle dinamiche di gioco, amplierà le strategie di investimento percorribili e secondo me aumenterà anche il divertimento.

Il whitepaper è molto ampio e in questo post ho considerato solo una piccola parte.
Le carte e i token DEC avranno un ruolo principale su Praetoria e quando un NFT o un token acquisisce nuovi casi d'uso spesso ad aumentare è anche il suo valore...
